First off, just let me say I love the creativity that went into all these complex systems. Cudo's for finding fixes to the macro issue.

Here is one more contribution to this, but this is so simple ya'll are gonna scream.

Make a new macro...

First Line: /startDance <name>; (this can be found by hovering your mouse over any command)

or /startMusic <name>; (always remember your semi-colon)

Second line: /flourish <enter your favorite flourish here>;

Third Line: /pause 10;

Fourth - Tenth Lines /rinse and repeat line two and three

Now the important one...

Last line /ui action toolbarSlot00-11 (the number represents the location in your Fkeys where you are placing this macro)

example:

/startDance formal;/flourish 1;/pause 10;/flourish 1;/pause 10;/flourish 1;/pause 10;/flourish 1;/pause 10;/flourish 1;/pause 10;/ui action toolbarSlot10;

This example would assume that your macro is in your F11 toolbar. They are numbered 0-11 for F1-12. Kinda odd, but F1 = toolbarSlot0 and F11 = toolbarSlot11. The capital S is very important.

With just this simple macro, you can effectively play the same in-game macro until your blue in the face or the server comes down. If you want to stop it, just move the macro to the Shift+Fkey below and wait for it to play out this one short cycle. I tend to keep them short so I can do other things like training, inviting players, buffing, etc. Furthermore, this type of macro works with EVERY skill, class, and system. Crafting macros are a bit more complex, but you can find those elsewhere. The only hitch with crafting is you need to click the resources in your pack, but the rest is automated and MUCH faster than doing it by hand. (sorry, got off on a tangent).

By the by you can also use actionslots 12-23 with that command and the double toolbar.

Well, I'll post one of mine here, but it really requires a Choreographer level in Dancing. Unfortunalte, the Dance threads don't have anything like this, and maybe it can be incorporated for music or lower dances instead.

with aliases you can make your song macro toggleable between bandflos and solo flos.

Tiaga explains it all in a few threads on this forum called "Advanced Alias Lessons" or something like that.

I use a bandflo toggle and a bandstart/stop toggle. Then I use a second button to start my song macro. I can start a bandflo song or a solo song with two buttons. Macros can be bound (binded?) to specific keys on your keyboard. So I hit num pad 1 and then Shift+F7 and I"m playing the cantina song. or I hit numpad 3, numpad 1, shift+F7 and i'm playing the cantina song with the whole band.

Now I just need a second song.

Hey, I love the thread. Here are a few of my songs. I haven't put flourishes in them, as I prefer to do those by hand as the song is running. also, I wrote them for my female dancer and now I have a male musician. If you like these, I'm willing to be hired as a songwriter
