I'm filming this one! Yeah, that's right, all you budding stars have your chance once again to grace the silver screen. Maybe if you get your face in enough Cantina Crawls, Windspire might call you for an audition or something. Ya never know!
Before you go getting all excited, you need to know a few things. First, I'm shooting it myself, so if I'm crawling around at your feet or gettin all up in your face, it might be because I worship the ground you walk on, but it also might mean I'm capturing your posterior for posterity. Or both. Anyway. This video's gonna have a serious edge. What does that mean? It means it's gonna have a strong statement about the state of dancers and musicians in the game. Nothing inappropriate or overly subjective, and it'll be tasteful, but if you have an issue with that, this might not be the crawl for you.
Finally, the details are listed below. Yes, there will be outfits this time and groups will be organized at the event, but I want to stress that if you do not want to wear the outfit, or be in a group, or pretty much do anything that's being organized by the...well...organizers, that's ok. Do your own thing, wear what you wish, just don't ruin the mojo of those trying to look all coordinated.
Please have patience with us at the beginning of the event as usual, it can take some time to get everything in place before we go a-crawlin. Hope to see you all there!
About The Event : The cantina crawls are a series of events that are open to everyone from every server. We gather in a particular cantina at a particular time, get all dressed up, and then 'crawl' from location to location and party hard. Although most of the people who attend are entertainers, we welcome folks from all walks of life to an evening of music, merriment, flirting, fashion and fun.
When : Friday, November 5th. Gathering time is 8pm Eastern (5pm Pacific), we move out around 8:30pm. Latecomers are welcome to join wherever we are (use the channel listed below to contact us).
Where : We're crawling Tatooine on the Bria Galaxy. We'll be meeting at the Drunken Tusken Cantina in Mos Elsewhere and moving out from there.
Channel : Once logged into Bria, type /chat join chat.ent. Make sure this channel is visible in your chat window (right click on the tab and select modify). We'll be using this channel to communicate.
Travel Arrangements : If you're joining us from another server and need cash to aid with travel, contact 'Javier' (preferably before the event starts) and I'll take care of it.
What To Wear : There will be outfits for both dancers and musicians on hand. If you do not want to wear the provided outfit, that's ok, but I will not be making any custom clothing the night of the event, so have your outfit ready. Wookies and Ithorians are on your own. Twileks who want headwear, please bring that with you. The color scheme will be black and red. I'm online nights during the week if you want to track me down for a custom outfit.
Staff : Doasa is the producer for this event, so please listen when he talks. He can also answer most of your questions. We will identify choreographers and music directors on the night of the event, these folks will lead the groups. My name is Javier, and I'm responsible for this mess, so if you've got a question that the others cannot answer, bug me.
Video Production : This crawl will be shot and edited into a video. I've heard that it's being executive produced by Oliver Stone and might feature cameos by Tom Hanks, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman and the cast of "Finding Nemo", but I think that's just a BS rumor. If yer lucky you'll see some SWG luminaries like Tiaga, NJ, Ravenmist, N'Jessi, Pappi and Balgosa. Don't hold your breath for a GM, they never show. Panthu, however, tends to come in disguise, which makes for a fun "Find Panthu" game.

Just wanted to say a massive grats on the final film Cantina Crawl XII (downloadable now from Warcry). Although I am not an entertainer in-game I watched the film and was incredibly impressed by both the choreography and the message it was sending across. As I said - I am not an entertainer but have noticed the increasing numbers of AFKers and buff-bots in cantinas recently.
When I started on the game, shortly after it was released, cantinas were a place you could go, particularly as a newbie, to chat to other people, learn new things from more experienced players, and even have a bit of a flirt! Now it is like going into a public toilet, you go in, use the facilities (get healed, entertainer buffed etc) and leave your credits, without ever having a conversation with anyone in there.
I hope this film helps to raise awareness in the entertainer field, and eventually cause some changes. I miss the fun I used to have in cantinas, and I know of several people who have left the game because of the entertainer problems, notably on the Eclipse server, the band 'The Force' who were an awesome bunch of people who did a great job.
Again many congratulations to you all on an excellent film - good luck to all you entertainers out there - keeping my fingers crossed for some changes in the near future.

I've never left money in a restroom. O_o I think you're thinking more along the lines of picking up a hooker. You pay your money,experience no emotional involvment, and leave when the deed is done. Right?
