Just a lil cut and paste from a post Sultrina made in another thread i stumbled across, just for me so i keep track of the good stuff that get's mentioned.

Ooo Im glad you brought up exotic becasuse it has a wounderfull example of a transitional flourish, try this. Do a little exotic dancing and then when your ready to do some boogie use flourish 7 Flourish 7 is a transition flourish, it is definitly exotic watch the body language, but it is also up temo.Flourish 7 has your wiggle turn, now for our little demosntration wait till you almost have doen a 360 and /changedance popular. You will automaticly do flourish 7 in popular if you did it right and its a nice little belly dancer looking turn that drops you neatly into popular from exotic. In conclusion a transitional flourish lets us up or down temo a dance to change to another dance smoothly instead of abruptly. Shure you can cover the change with smoke but I love trasitional floruishes and I say we keep them.

I throughly enjoy reading these. And I try and practice them. I'm busy trying to make my own dance cards with timings for each part of the different flourishes. Don't have as much time as I would like though to put into playing right now so it will take me a while.

/gasp How on earth did you figure out all these things Sultrina? I am impressed! Wow! I will print out these lessons andpractise my moves in my house.
