Mypoint was that I have asked many people to buff and they say no. So I guess the answer I'm getting as to why is that its's a pain in the ass cause it takes ten minutes. Makes sense, that'a all I was wondering. BTW I got my first one from a very nice lady in Coronet.

*blink* I don't know why they would actually say no. That's just odd.

I'm going to assume that you did not breach etiquette. You don't strike me as the sort to say, "Dance for me, bee-yotch!" Since you were looking, I'm guessingyou offered compensation. Why in the world would a Dancer refuse?

I can see one possible reason: The Dancer didn't know how. She didn't know the mechanics behind the buff (happens more often than you realize), and she didn't want to admit ignorance. This isn't the only reason, but it's the only one I can think of that makes sense.

Well, take down that nice Dancer's name. Judging from the pleas I've seen in cantinas, we buffers are rare. Too many folks aren't there to buff, so they provide an illusion of a full house.

Love Star Wars, but the few role-players I could find on the servers were outnumbered by powergamers who wanted only l337 l00t and mad skillz. I can't justify paying $15 a month to play a game by myself.
Still cares enough to interject an opinion, though.

The only time I say "no" to a request for a buff is if I am on my way to do something else, like going hunting or visiting a harvester or meeting someone for a trade or catching the shuttle, etc.

Any time I go to Theed, Coronet, or Bestine cantinas to hang out, I am inundated with requests for buffs. Usually I have a waiting list of two to three people at all times. There have been nights when I did one buff after another for three hours straight. That's tiring! (I use a frequent flourish macro so I can talk to the person I'm buffing, or whoever I'm socializing with, and I do the buff for 8 minutes. I use my in-game alarm to time it.)

Most people don't think to ask a non-master for a buff, although as we know a dancer with all 4 boxes of technique can give a 75% buff. In my experience, usually people will come into a cantina and either send a tell to the first master dancer they see (or recognize) asking about a buff, or they'll announce in spatial "looking for a mind buff." When I see such an announcement, if I am free, I send a tell letting them know I can do it (I don't like to clutter spatial, it's bad enough as it is).

Chessack if you are at all interested in buffing people you could respond to those requests (if you ever hear them) with a tell informing the patron that you can give them a 75% buff if they can't find someone to do the 100%. Of course maybe in the cantinas on your server this just doesn't happen. On Intrepid people seem to be very fond of mind buffs.

Excluding doctor/entertainer buffs, what is your favored combo of foods/spices to get what you feel is your best stats?

as soon as chefs can make the large containers of Vascarian Brandy, that will be all you will need. Personally I don't like spices because they don't last long enough but with the chef revamp your gonna see a nice set of combinations of enhancments that last a lot longer than the old stuff

Used to be doc buffs with the following food/drink combo:

(2) Glazed Gleucose Pate + (1) Breath of Heaven

Now I have no idea what to do thanks to the removal of the GGP.
