I thought a /deny macro only worked on someone who was in proximity.

I dunno ........... I like the idea of bringing the crafters and EVERYONE into the cantina for a bit of 'inspiration' ... but ... 10% isn't that much and I dunno if it would seem worth it for people to go out of their way , wait and watch, and then go back to what they were doing.
I'm gonna ask the guild, see what they think.

It does have its limitations--it only works within a short range (actually, seems to work on anyone who isvisible on the radar, so if you just ran to the cantina from the starport, you would be able to /deny people who were in the starport, because they would still exist to your characters perceptions.Obviously it doesn't work for folks who aren't online either. Still, there's something satisfying about running that macro.
And I dotend to notice folks who should not be receiving my services, because I so rarely /denyservice to anyone. It takes even morestupid behaviour to get on my /denyservice list than it does to get on my ignore list.

*cheers* WHOOO HOOO *cheers again*
Welll...that sure solves my entertainers MASSIVE cash flow...I mean...why should entertainers be able to enforce a payment for a BUFF???
and lets not even touch on the fact that novice entertainergives same buff as a Master dancer now. (just takes a little longer - big deal)
yay!!! FREE buffs.......after all......EVERYONE tips them so well. *rolls eyes and loks for the 'you f***ed my skills up' button.
(on the plus side...I guess the fact we actually get to KEEP our buffing abilities makes this not as bad as it could have been)

btw way "MASSIVE cashflow" was sarcastic LOL (just in case someone missed that)
since lately almost the only time people tip (even ATK) entertainers in game is for buffs.....and that's cause we make them.

It's even worse for the entertainers, as I now see it as someone playing on TC a lot...
Not only is the inspiration buff completely passive... but the damage multipliers due to level difference severely hampers BF earning. I've played on TC quite solidly and the most battle fatigue I've ever seemed to have earned is approximately 50. I'm still pretty low level, not that far into my elite professions... but it definately seems that oppertunities to earn battle fatigue are currently few and far between... if I face off a creature or NPC of a higher level than myself, the chances are, I'll get one hit incapped... another 2 hits later I heading for the cloner. In the current live system, the creatures have higher damage, (which my armour can negate most of) higher chance to wound and therefore cause BF as it has to hit me far more times to incap me and possibly DB. On the TC, it feels as if the only way people will earn decent levels of BF for entertainers to heal is if they forget to pay their cloning fees or die in space a lot. Considering that the entertainer classes have 3 lines dealing with this sort of healing it doesn't look good at all...
Personally, I hope I'm wrong on this and as people increase in level the chance of accruing BF will increase.

This whole passive Inspiration buff is among the most stupid things SOE has come up with. At triple Master the buff is so fast you can barely stop performing or /deny before someone can run in and steal the buff from you. SOE is turning us into NPCs with no control over our functions in the game other than to not play.

If you cannot discuss civily, then refrain from discussing at all.
