Geez, get a life--so people macro and AFK. You should be glad, the more people in your group the better for XP, right?
I have yet to see a _GOOD_ argument for why AFK/macroing is not a problem.
Can you read? I specifically wrote "do something besides typical combat and healing professions". Nowhere did I deny I was a healer, I'm proud to be a healer, but dancing is not the typical way to do it. Maybe you should learn how to read or look up some of the bigger words before you go flaming my ass...

I can read just fine, and I thinkyou are a "typical" healing profession. You heal with action points, much like a mage heals with mana or empathizers "take on" your wounds or even SWG medics with /tend commands. The only thing atypical about it is the motions the toon does as it's healing.

Here I am responding. My apologies Jason, but the "stupidest arguement ever" pissed me off.
As for afk entertainers in PC cantinas. I'll probably get in trouble here but I don't have a huge problem with them. They are in sparcely populated areas anyways, and if a player is willing to cough up another 15 bucks /shrug. I wasn't happy when I came accross one in my city (wasn't my cantina), but no one is hardly ever there anyway. I have tried to hang out in player city cantinas, but even in a metropolis players are few and far between.
I wish there was a way to know when players were running out of player cities, because then I would go and hang out, I like the setup of player cantinas better. But for nowI have to content myself with whatever group I'm hunting with.
The issue, for me really, is not that the players are using the tools that the game provides. The issue for me is that SOE really has no idea what it is doing, and that is not just with this profession. Look at their track record, ignored droid engineers entirely, virtually ignored entertainers, nerfed bounty hunters, nerfed creature handlers, overpowered riflemen (your nerf is coming), arguably nerfed pistoleers, changed the jedi system, going to change the jedi system AGAIN!, changeing the entire combat system, hmmm...I know I'm forgetting lots. /rantoff
I play this game for two reasons, best graphics in an MMORPG (IMHO), and the people (even you Jason (that's a joke)). So the players for me are not the problem.SOE is the dark force!

Stupiest argument ever. If I leave my tv on while I'm not watching it does that mean I never watch it? That's exactly what you're trying to pass off with your "paying to not play".
Food and spice are provided whenever you need it. They're called vendors. Why do you all even respond to him? He is just a troller with nothing better to dothat likes to insult strangers.
I'll drink to that. Lurking the past few days has trained me to groan whenever your name pops up. Consider yourself insulted.
