Its a catch 22...

No performers mean no audience mean no performers mean no audience... etc, etc.

The only one who can break the cycle is the performer... It takes time, and as easy as gaining the xp was in the big cities, entertainers need to finda backbone if you want to build you own fame and following.

That would be the non AFK folks that socialize while working on musician. If you aren't afk and talk to people while working on musician, people tend to remember your name. Musician takes a good while to go up. If there isn't people that remember you by the time you're master musician, then you were either 1)afk, 2)didn't socialize, 3) the most unliked person in the galaxy. No. 3 is highly unlikely.

Actually I don't think the problem is lack of tips. I find I earn more tips working on Moenia where there are far less customers but only a couple of Entertainers than in Theed where there are loads of both. I think the issue is XP. IfI dance on my own, I get far less XP per flourish than I would when dancing in a large group. As there is no real downside to performing in a huge group, when I'm trying to fill those skill boxes, I want to be in Theed not Moenia.

To make Entertainers spread out, I think they need to introduce an incentive for them to do so. Right now, all the incentives are for them to join a humongous group.

Admittedly I am a Force Slot grinder. But coming from am Combat Professions background I can tell you I dont like spending the credits to fly back from Dathomir to Coronet to get mind healed. A long time ago however I stopped checking the cantina there heck most of the time I forget it has one. Why? Because of too many time going there to find it empty. So what can be done about it ? I have an idea.

What if the Devs coded in a sign for the front of the cantina that said how many dancers were currently on duty?

Thats Idea one.

Idea two. Have an npc droid dance in the cantina of sites like Dathomir and other harder planets. It can heal but the catch is when a player dancer starts dancing it stops. That way Dancers in Theed and Coronet would no that players will go to that cantina instead of making a special trip to Coronet or Theed. Eventually the droid would not be needed. Think of it as a jump start.

So you know I am dancing now to grind Entertainer. I macro'ed but I was at my desk almost the whole time for Dancing and Healing 1-4. I enjoyed getting to chat some. Not allot of chatting when you are soloing a rancor. So this was a nice change of pace.

I worry about some professions when holo grinding comes to an end. Dancer is high on the list. Will it be hard to find a dancer then to heal mind? Cantinas in Theed and Coronet are full heck groups are to full to join. Will that happen post holo ?

Will it be harder on Career Dancers and Musicians to earn their xp? I think about the economy not the credits economy but the xp economy I think the impact of the end of the holo grind should really be looked at.

p.s. To the dancers and musicians in Theed that I got angry with because I couldnt get anyone to invite me to their group or speak to me . At which time I made a Kimo lay down in the middle of the dance floor ( not that anyone was there to notice) and then went toCoronet, I apologize. I now understand.
