It IS a phenominal idea, I just forsee too many problems.

There would have to be male and female vocals recorded. Even then, everybodywould sound the same within a gender. Though it'd be so cool to pick a range (you know, bass, tenor, alto, soprano, etc). Just too **edit** much recording involved. And different species would have to sound different as well.

And they would have to match the existing songs, to avoid grouping conflicts with musicians. I dunno about anybody else, but I can't quite think up vocal sounds for some of those that wouldn't be exceedingly odd.

Don't get me wrong, I would be first in line if they implimented this, but I doubt they'd ever be able to pull it off with everything else that needs to be fixed first.

As it stands though, Anybody playing Naritus that's in Nashal on Talus? Come in and "listen" to my buddies. Chremylus does a mean Fire On The Mountain.

It should be in. It's one of those nagging questions I have like, where are all the children (woah...Indiana Jones flashback)? But I'm not sure how it can implemented. The use of tonal flourishes would be similar to the style of Lisa Gerrard (Gladiator), Enya (LOTR etc) but Star Wars? Only if done in the style of say Sy or gah ewoks. Plus you'll need m/f vocals for 8 species.

Overall I think it's needed but I cannot see how it will work with the other characters. In fact, perhaps it should be an NPC or pet type thing. What about hiring Sy or a singer who will sing along to your band? It's another option. I've not been to Jabba's palace so I don't know what the bands like there (if there is one).

For those keen on taking up a singer class (I've seen a few threads on this on a brief search), how about put your names in a thread (this one?) and if there's a big interest, the Entertainer Correspondant discussing it with the Dev Team?

I do agree that we need a singer profession, tonal not lyrical. /clapforpost

Or to save a lot of time, they could just add vocals as a type of music sound and give different microphones (handheld, some with stands, etc) to sing into. But I keep imagining Operaman...
