Hmm...
Instrument: Mandoviol (Bandfil close second)
Song: Virtuoso (Western is growing on me)
Dance: Poplock 2 (Most Masculine), Footloose Deuce!
ID: Hair...outside of radically altering someone's weight or height from one extreme to the other it is the one thing you can alter that really changes the whole look in a hurry.

Instrument - It depends on the song, mando is best overall but I like fanfar on ballad and chid on waltz.
Dance - I just got through them but a lady doing the exotics will get my vote every day, I love that wiggle.
ID - I just pushed through to master ent and avoid it like the plague now.

Song: Oooh, toughie. I love Ceremonial best, I think, followed closely by Ballad and Waltz
ID characteristic: Holoemotes! Wouldn't it be cool if Master Entertainers got a holoemote no one else did? Or the ability to do all of them individually?(Just not the all-in-one feature.) The skill point expenditure is actually higher than Master Hairstyling all by itself, and it would give a purpose to being a Master Entertainer. But not a game mechanic one.
Just a thought.
Oh! Had another thought as to something you could ask what people like: what's your favourite lighting effect? Both droid and professional? I love Ventriloquism 2! And Electric Fog.
Edit: Bother. I just realised, after I hit 'Submit,' that droids and effects are elite items.

Folk on Mando..love the simplicity of it. When I'm stuck waiting on a shuttle, that's what I play. With the new flos, Poplock is my favorite dance. I don't think I've done any ID since mastering but I do love getting and playing with holoemotes.

Instrument ... Mando, of course.
Song... that's hard. Ballad or ceremonial, with waltz and western close behind.
Dance is exotic 3, especially when combined well wth exotic 4.

Favorite instrument: Mandovial over all (but each one has a great sound and a full band sounds best of all)
Favorite dance: Poplock
Favorite id characteristic: The eyes have it! (Especially love the sulustan eyes)

Favorite song: Ballad with a full band.

ID: Hair styling
If we're talking the extended elite entertainer trees:
Instrument: Mandovial (with a Bandfill droid backup)
Song: Starwars1 (yes, starwars3 is my favorite without having the musician skills, with the musician skills it's starwars1 with the mando/bandfill)
Dance: Poplock2
ID: Still hair styling!
Honorable mentions: Popular2 and the exotics, and hair coloring.

Instrument+song = gotta go with swg1 on the mando
Dance = popular 2. Always classic.
ID = skin color. Outside humans and zabraks that's the feature that makes the most difference.

Definatly mandoviol or chidinkalu horn ( though i like nala but the targeting can get annoying)
Song is more difficult...ballad, ceremonial, folk, jazz...all depends on instrument or combo of instruments. havent got western yet but i heard it is good
Dance would be exotic 2, formal 2, and poplock 2 (not master yet)

Dance: Watching a bunch of well-sync'd ents do formal (lyrical?). Very nice. For myself, still Basic2.
ID: Skin tone is my favorite thing to change, especially on humans and twils. It effects how everything looks - eye, hair, markings. You can make them glow or stand out in stark contrast just by adjusting the tone of the skin.

I love the dual horns playing Waltz... prettiest song in the game. Ceremonial on a mandovial... or perhaps Poplock2.

As a dancer my favourite dance is Formal. It's so hard to time it right, but when it goes right it looks so beautiful. I just wish I had more than four flourishes to work with.
I don't know enough about music to hazard a guess, although Western on the mando sounds good. I can only play with hair and eye colour as an image designer, but during character creation I love working on the face, combining all the different aspects to create a unique appearance. I've never met another Rodian who looks quite like me...
