I think that you are right. It's all about reward.

Consider this: I log in, go AFK, and wake up with another box. As long as this is possible, AFK play will continue. I know. I've done it myself. Even a low reward, over enough time, can be a bigger reward than actually being at the keyboard. That's the problem in a nutshell.

Yes, I myself will sometimes AFK overnight (especially in an empty player city) just for the fraction of a skill box it earns because over time it will add up to a normal skill box. This cannot/will not be changed.

What I'm suggesting is that there should bea very small amount of xp earned while not doing combos (whether AFK or ATK) and to get the normal xp or even more xp than now, you'd have to do combos which would REQUIRE constant ATK play.

I also want this to be fun and exciting, not a chore or burden as typing /flo 1; is now. By making it a little 'mini-game' it may add fun as well as quests and such for new combos, songs, instruments.

Yay for this post, Yay for this Idea. I love it, it solves all the problems, but in the end I don't think it will ever happen....Anyway, I think it's a good idea...

Thanks for the praise

I mean, the Devs haven't given us ANY sign that they're working on the Entertainer profession. Yes there's music for the Musician profession that's already written, and sure Dancer will get more dances, but they've pretty much said "oh, you guys wanted something too?"

So, I'm trying to somewhat guide the cries of "death to the AFKers" by offering suggestions that fix the root of the problem. The Devs can take it at face value. I really just want to get the community thinking more about "how to do ___ in order to fix problems [x], [y], and [z]" instead of "i hate ___, i'm thinking about cancelling my account"

So while the idea I've suggested in this thread my never see the light of Test Center, it may at least do SOMETHING for the progression of the profession.

I can't really say that I don't think this idea isn't grand, or that it won't fix anything because I think it is great and that it would fix a lot. I just understand that there's more to it than simple opinion and forecasted outcome.

So if anyone has a suggestion for my idea, or a critique of it, please fire away!
