Part of the solution is to find the right cantinas. Corolag is NOT The right one at all. The more sociable ones include Theed, Bestine and Anchorhead and although I admit my early entertaining ( I've got musicians and dancers including a Mistress Dancer and Mistress Entertainer accross 6 different characters ) had a bit of AFKing (although I'd say I never had any char do more than 50% AFK and most probably no more than 33%) my latest dancers are 100% ATK ( with the exception of 2-3 mins here and there to grab a drink etc.). In the right cantina this is fun and a great experience.

If you wanna AFk then DON'T do it front & centre stage of a cantina !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go to a side/back room but away from the main area away from where I am trying to work and be seen....
Please have some consideration..............

Fair point and a policy that works well in at least one player city Cantina I know of.

Actually here's the thing. Because you are AFK anyone who comes into the cantina, be they someone looking for healing or another entertainer, gets exactly the same experience that you hate: no interaction. Plenty of entertainers, I am one on Shadowfire, never go AFK - not even for the trips to the kitchen, phone, or bathroom. This is why we have absolutely zero respect for players who are AFK. Is it boring being in an isolated empty cantina? Yes. But by being a true at the keyboard entertainer I can guarantee you that in just a few hours or days (depending upon player base on your server), you will have regular customers who enjoy interacting with you and who make your gameplay fun as well.

One minor correction:, it's nine songs at Master, not eight: SW1, Rock, SW2, Folk, SW3, Ballad, Waltz, Jazz, Virtuoso. If you take Master Entertainer too, that's ten (Ceremonial). Functionally, it is only four instruments: slitherhorn/fanfar/traz; fizzz/kloo/chid; bandfill/ommni; nalargon. If you take Master Entertainer, it's five (mandoviol).
My favorite songs change with the seasons, but I've always loved Waltz, Ballad, Folk, and (if NO horns play) SW1. I enjoy Virtuoso if it's more than just piano, which does get old fast.

Has anyone heard Virtuoso played on the Mandoviol? That really does sound like someone strangling a cat.

I apoligize to all entertainers, since writing that I did master entertainer and musician, but I dropped it because of people like me being afk and no interaction. Only after getting to master did I see the real impact of all this afk nonsense. So now that pve is funner again I'm going squad leader swordsman
. Once again I apologize for adding into the afk madness.
