Read your Dev Tracker.

I'll go look for the quoteable / link.

Events Team -
This team brings you the Live events on our service, but they're also working to bring many of their tools and goodies to the players so you can use them directly. Watch for new player-empowering elements to appear in future publishes.
Note that the relative amount of features and content in a given publish may change, simply because some of teams above may be on a longer development cadence than two weeks. Some development efforts take multiple weeks or months to complete, and when they are ready, they will come in to the game in the next publish.

About my little idea thingy up there... that was like more than a year ago long before I was a Corr., and I do know that we need more than just money and that ATKers are not just seeking money... I hope it did not come off like that. I am eager to see what our revamp will bring as far as real content and not just economic viability (though I think that is important too).

Hmm...these are good things to remember. Glad to hear how much your entertainment missions come to in an hour...

Yeah, see I can't PROMISE interaction because it's hard to get people out of Coronet and Theed and into a player cantina. But I can promise to TRY. I can promise to advertise and pay you well for your wasted time. I can put up several vendors in the cantina itself that will get people in there: drinks, spice, slicing supplies, perhaps even sliced guns and armor and faction goodsif I can arrange it. But I can't promise people, nor what the rest of the town will sell or draw or come in, or whatever. I'm not a mayor, I'm just a citizen trying to start a business. I'm trying to draw entertainers from all guilds and factions and just pay them to play. I'm hoping that if I build it, they will come, because honestly, I don't have the time or energy to be throwing massive server parties every week, or even month (though I'm gonna, in the future, hopefully, be throwing events every three months or so).

So if I can promise you you'll be on the map, and that you'll be well advertised, would you suffer two hours or so of being a lone for...20k an hour? 50k? 100k?

Oh and LeBob, a proof of purchase hadn't occurred to me. I was thinking an honor/spotcheck system would be much simpler. And if it works I'd consider charging a cover, but I'd want to actually be doing good business first.

Any more thoughts?

I guessboth can work.

Also, try to have trainers nearby, and find a Musician (and/or Entertainer) to make you some instruments. There are ten of them currently. They can be crated up to 25. I would make some for you, but I am on Bria. I do charge for my instruments... the pricing is like slitherhorn 600c and it scales up by 100c per instrument and then jumps more towards the high end such that nalargons are 5000c. You also might want to have some accaragm (sp?) on a vendor nearby, and clothes are fun too!

Disclaimer: This post is by me as a player and not a correspondent. I am not attempting to make any kind of statements about proper instrument pricing, the lack thereof or any other such stuff. = P

So I should have a vendor for the entertainers? With fun clothes for them to wear, instruments starting at a fizz for 500 cr. going up 100 cr. to the Nargalon at 5000? Okay, can do. Now my next question is what all foods and drinks do you guys use? Specific HAM foods and drinks? Ent. food and drinks? All of the above?

Do not quote me on those prices, but I cannot remember ever getting any complaints about them!

Accaragm (sp?) is one of the most frequently used food/drinks.

The single biggest item in food is accarragm. This boosts all three action pools which is where all our flourishes come from. Even better is a quickness buff but that isn't essential if acc is available. Humans can push their stats so that they only need acc for buff flourishing. I have my character configured that way and can play all day without thinking about it unless I'm doing the buff flourishes which are much faster than the flourish can actually be displayed.

A vendor down by the stage with various types of clothing with bio-enhanced tissue to make it +25 Wound Healing (Dance) & (Music), instruments and Accarragm would be great. Also, Corellian Ale (extra music mind wound healing) and Carmelized Pk'neb (extra dance mind wound healing) would be good. Don't bother with Ts'solok, it appears to be broken. Scrimpi is a food that's good for Quickness, which might be a good thing to have as backup for Accarragm.

Yeah...unless I meet a tailor with some sweet connections I'm doubted the bio-enhanced clothes. But I can DEFINTELY do the food and drink, and hopefully, after the smuggler revamp, some spice to boot.

Just from my own experiences now....

PC cantinas don't draw entertainers unless you have a steady stream of people. Remember the majority of our actual game content by design is social interaction. If you don't have that, you won't keep an entertainer happy.

Instead of trying to get an entertainer 24/7 in your cantina.. How about trying this option instead. Have your cantina open a set time of day everyday. Say 4-8 (most popular time zone on your server) in the evening. This way you can make it something special... Call it happy hour or ladies's night, etc. Basically pick a time when you know that YOU and a majority of the people you play with can be coming and going regularly. A time when perhaps you can even stay for an hour just to play host. Advertise it like a party, make sure that people are on hand and you'll get your entertainers. It only takes a few weeks of it being a success for it to become a habit rather than just something to go do.

Cool. There are going to be plenty of parties happening, but I'm trying to get people by getting entertainers, not vice-versa. I figure if I've got a reputation for HAVING master entertainers then people will come to my place for buffs when they can't FIND entertainers for buffs, and then hopefully it becomes habit, and they stop at my place before Coronet. But hey, aguy can dream. Okay, I like your set hours thing, though I don't know how often I could work that, though my partner who's an entertainer probably could. Or my guild. Or someone...hm..
