Thread: The CU Is Now on TC5 CU General Feedback Thread

If they reduce the BF accumulation rate temporarily on TC, more combat characters will actually spend time testing the combat skills this CURB is meant to balance out.The big concern with Entertainer class people seems to be a lack of a role in the CURB.All they have to do once the combat classes are more or less balance out is make the rate combat people get BF higher than it is in Live currently, and have Action and Mind pool regen rates modified by BF negatively (which really high BF SEVERELY impacting regen if not virtually stopping it) to force said combat players to go to the Cantina and get the BF healed up. Then just make BF healing an active process on the Entertainer's part. This is how it could easily work:
- Combat character goes out and kills things, earns a lot of BF for his trouble.
- Combat character comes to the Cantina.
- Combat character then requests to have his BF healed, for which he must pay, and tips the Entertainer.
- The Entertainer then manually targets and perform a BF heal (similar to how setperform works for mind buffs now)
This allows Entertainers to continue to earn credits in a similar method to the mind buff system, discourages AFK Entertaining as a bonus, and makes the Entertainer classes more necessary than currently IMHO.
That would encourage ATK play, but not force it. Players could still run a "Select Target at Cursor" macro to get around it.

Try not to wander offtopic with new ideas/proposals here. Limit discussion to how things are going for entertainers in the CU test.
Aside- anyone try healing in a camp yet? That will HAVE to change, if it doesnt work now. Test it and /bug the tar out of it. or insist they change the text/descriptions of camps to cut us out.
My intent was not to offer a new proposal per se. The recent changes on CU have caused many in the Entertainer classes to act like Chicken Little and proclaim "the sky is falling" to some extent. My post hopefully illustrated that it is far too early to do so, and how the Devs might choose to correct the current situation when they get around to it.
Yes, BF is hard to get on TC right now. But it is entirely possible that the situation is completely intentional at the present time so that the combat skills get the most testing possible during this period as opposed to heading back periodically to get BF or wounds healed. Early second people are spending in a Cantina on TC right now, they are NOT spending out in the wild testing the combat system which is the Devs intent for TC right now.
It's too early for doom and gloom predictions, which are pretty prevalent right now....
heck i aint even a performer but i feel for these people who poured a lot of time into a soon to be useless feature and now it appears my beloved game is turning into ashrons call... or wow.
i will still play, but maybe less and rejoin something else.
proves to me that devs's are often clueless and are willing to sacrifice quality... for more cash.

As we had been told, none of the non-combat professions can be respec'd.
I find this to be a complete disservice to us and all veteran players that have non-combat profession(s).
The CU completely changes nearly every aspect of this game.
Many of us have Combat and Non-Combat Professions on one toon.
In the CU, having those non-combat professions puts that player at an extreme disadvantage in combat.
This was NOT the case during our previous 2 years of play and I believe it is enough of a change that calls for allowing full respec for any and all professions (Combats, Crafters, Healers/Entertainers).
The function of Entertainers has been drastically changed and we deserve the option (Just as medics/doctors/combatmedics have) to respec to something we will better enjoy post-CU.
Currently, when choosing to go through the respec process (On TC Bria and/or TC Gorath) they clearly indicate which professions count towards respec and which ones do not.
What a surprise... entertainers are being slapped in the face.
The Respec requires more RespecT for all veteran Players.

May the force be with you.
So CU makes my two proffessions Dancer/Musician completely useless yet Im not allowed to respec them??
Because they are not defined as combat profs??
For that matter most crafting proffessions and doctor is now useless - EVERYONE should be allowed to respec the CU did not just affect combat it AFFECTED every aspect of the game.
IM hardly going to regrind my template with the current incredably slow gind - This toon is of course my former buff bot I would have kept her if I could respec her - If that doesnt happen SOE loses another account.
Ive got 3 why would I keep one that is totally useless without months of regrinding?
