Luke stands in the middle of the small hold area; he seems
frozen in place. He is working on something you can't see.

Ben watches him from the corner, studying his movements.
Han watches with a bit of smugness.

BEN: Remember, a Jedi can feel the Force flowing through him.

LUKE: You mean it controls your actions?

BEN: Partially. But it also obeys your commands.

Standing in front of Luke you see a small crafting station, little parts start to whir and something starts to happen.

Lukequicklyputs in some metal and then some strange parts. Suddenly it makes a lightning-swift
clunk and stopswhirring spitting out somethinga few feet in front of Luke's face.

Luke blinks and then backs off.Slowly revealing what is in front of the boy,
another quick clunk, this time emitting a blood red
light beam. It startles Luke causing him to tumble over. Han lets loose with a burst of laughter as he picks up the Holocron

thatLukejust made.

BEN: Ahh you are now on your way to being a jedi. Take this device to Yoda he will know how to read it and he will then tell you what prof you need to do next.

Ias aperson feel AFK macroing is harmful to the game, especially to Dancers and Musicians.I have had a lot of discussions internally on how to solve this problem without hurting the professions at the same time.

So they don't like AFK macro-ing and they think it's harmful. They have had discussions, but the question was not answered...What is being done? Discussions about how it's bad? What about solutions? They kind of just went right by the main question...

They basically said they're still looking into it. They don't want to put anything in that makes actually playing a musician/dancer a pain..which I understand and appreciate.

It didn't surprise me that they didn't specify what they're doing - if they did, the l337 h4x0r5 would figure out a way to circumvent it because they had plenty of time to prepare.

I'm hoping they figure something definitive out, and fast. The situation is quickly getting out of control.

Is it just one new song for the year, or one new song with these particular quests? My understanding is that they've recorded several new songs, but I could be mistaken.

Well, the game's been around 1 year, and we got 1 new song, hence 1 new song per year.

I'm not exactly expecting, given this Dev team's track record, that we'll be seeing an explosion of dances/songs anytime soon. The second that Combat Balance delay got announced, what did I see just a page or two in on the responses?

Someone saying the Entertainer Quest thing should be ignored since there were "so few Entertainers versus other professions" so the Devs' time should be spent on getting things for everyone else.

This whole situation is so disheartening. People hate us, and we've been stagnant awhile. I have fun doing what I do, but I just want to actually ENTERTAIN someone. With something a little more unique. I want more entertainment options at my disposal. At this point in time we should at least have had a few new songs/dances. We get 1. And hopefully it's worth the time they put into it.

My main frustration with this new song/dance (singular...grrrr) is that it's claimed to be a "unique game experience" by interacting with NPC's. Don't we do that already? And more importantly, why are we interacting with NPC's in the first place? Are we not social professions? Who wants to socialize with an NPC? And, I'm guessing by "unique game experience" they mean even more repetitive and boring than combat missions - because they're hardly thrilling.

Why can't they just give us some new content - why do we need to scurry off somewhere like desperate, sad little beings to put on our monkey suit and dance/play music for NPC's in order to get new songs/dances? Did Droid Engineers have to run a bunch of missions to get new droid modules? NOO....they just got a ton of content added to their game. Did Image Designers have to find some NPC's to interact with before getting new hairstyles? Or holoemotes? NOO...they got got new skills and options to make their profession more exciting.

So, why exactly are we forced to run these little missions (which really pose very little challenge and have little to no point) just to get something our professions deserve to get because it's A NEW SKILL FOR OUR PROFESSION. Did they think making us talk to NPC's (like we don'tenough already with AFK'ers /Buffbots) would excite us to no end?

I'm very unimpressed with things right now. I don't understand what's happening in this game, and why we're treated the way we are. This new "quest" (riiiight....and what a grand quest pffft) is hardly new content. We'll do it once, get our 3000 credits and a new song/dance, and be done with it. And who knows if we'll get anything more in the next year.

Sorry, very disappointed right now. Best if I just clam up and slip away...

This IS new content. Personally, I would love to have quests that worked rather than any new content or new songs. In my opinion new content can wait if it means that our professiongets fixed - meaning the introduction ofquests that pay and that get us out of Coronet to perform in other places. We have fundamental problems with the basic working of our profession. That should be fixed first.

Since June 2004, running one of the game's first completely nonviolent characters. Testing the limits of non-combat MMORPG play and trying to have fun into the bargain (although the developers make it difficult).

Combat is no longer compulsory.
