Travesty in Mos Mesric

Last night The Ragin’ Rancors had the honor to perform at the grand opening of the Blasters nightclub. Our host was gracious and the guests seemed to have a good time, all was well until a great injustice was done. What was this injustice? The members of the band were awarded an Accolade badge for Professional Demeanor.

How is this an injustice? All the band members, but one, received this honor, Illya, our leader, the very heart and soul of the Ragin’ Rancors, did not receive this badge. She tried to brush it off but it was obvious that she was very upset. I know I speak for the rest of the band members when I say that she deserved this honor, and not to award her this badge is a travesty. If it was within my power I would reject this badge, I would tear it off and stomp it into the dust of Tatooine. I am upset, I am outraged, I am totally disheartened. As I write this I am contemplating dropping all of my entertainer skills if not just quitting the game outright.

In typical SOE fashion a great entertainer has received a slap in the face. The damage has been done and I see no way it can be undone.

This sounds very odd indeed... might I suggest that it was perhaps an honest mistake, rather than an intentional exclusion?

Might want to check with Pex to see if he knows anything about it. It just seems strange that all members of the band, but one, would be awarded the badge unless it was a mistake, and one person was just missed in the crowd. I just don't see any reasonable motive. /shrug

That's horrible, Rav. You all deserved the badge, you guys are what made me want to be more than just a cantina dancer, but Illya definately deserved it the most. If I can help in any way, writing to Pex to complain or anything else, just let me know.

You've put your finger on the key problem in this game. A lack of a sense of quality and professionalism that is so endemic that it must be in the very corporate environment at SOE. We see "mistakes" in even the smallest and simplest of things coming from SOE, how can they hope to be sucessful in any larger goal. Unless there is a major and fundamental change in how SOE runs this game it is doomed to fail.

I know this must have been very upsetting, but I agree with Deila, this was most likely just an oversight in the excitement of an event with a lot of people. I'm sure a message to Pex would get this righted.

Consider, were you all there all night? I myself recieved a patch from Pex. Javier who arrived just after Pex had left missed out on the badge. If your band leader arrived late, left the building for a moment, or wasnot present at any time, then the lack of badgehas a simple explanation.Perhaps the leader was not performing at the time or had stepped off stage.

There is alot of reasons, other thentheCSR/Dev missing the band leader entirely, so please take these into account. I am not saying your leader doesn't merit the badge, but rather that the CSR/Dev did not see her as part of the band when granting the badges for whatever reason.

Mistake or not, the damage has been done. There were a total of 5 people on the stage, hardly a number that would overwhelm anyone.

We were all there, we were all on stage, we were all performing, we were all wearing matching outfits. There is absolutely no excuse a CSR or DEV could have for missing her. I am so angry over this you would not believe it. She is the most deserving of our group to receive official recognition, she has written most of our songs, she manages and books most of our gigs, she has been responsible for making the Ragin' Rancors the group they are. There is no excuse the CSR or DEV who gave the badges could have for missing her other than they are careless and uncareing.

That's very sad to hear. Can you be a little more specific about the circumstances? Were you all there at the same place and received the badge altogether, but she did not receive it or did something else odd happen?

thanks

I was there as Well LeBob, although I wasn't working. They gave the badge to a couple of the girls that were dancing (Dathora and Venia) as well, yet skipped the third (Pagom'). I can get you more details if you need them.

Edited to add names.
