Thread: Getting kicked cause of FS quests
It's the group leader's perogative who to have in the group. There is no rule that says because you are entertaing that the leader must invite you and cannot kick you. Buffbots are an even bigger offense to many ATK ents. Personally, I would have asked if you were going AFK again before inviting you, and would have kept in you in the group as long as you were ATK, but that's me.
Parking yourself in front of everyone to try and take their xp isn't a good way to protest either. Your beef was with the leader of the group, but you hurt everyone else in the group and that's not good. And you were probably spamming that you were giving away buffs. Spam is a sure way to tick every other ATK ent off.
So yes, IMHO, you were wrong for parking yourself in front and taking xp from every other entertainer in the cantina.
group", if it is not for the XP.
You can talk to anyone while not grouped. If the ones
you want to be talking to want to be in a group with you,
just start your own group.
Lastly it cames up to the groupleader if he invites someone
and if he keeps someone in group. If you (as groupmember)
dont like what the leader does. Leave it.
I do see the stuff you did then... as especially harassing the
other players (thats because I am very Anti-AFK). But actually
you must have done more than you wrote.
Noone gets booted by a CSR just by giving away free mind buffs
in the cantina. Else all buffbots would be done with!

Exactly, I was going to point that part out but you beat me to it *high-five*
There has to be a lot more to the story here.
AFK BoTs constantly steal experience from leveling entertainers and unfortunately I am yet to hear of one actually getting booted out for it.
Unless you actually had the “misfortune” to run in to CSR who used brain instead of “copy-paste”, but I find that very unlikely.
So amuse us and spit it out, what really happened?

You're asking if what you did was wrong:
It's not wrong for you to feel upset about not being able to get into a group; every entertainer playing in a crowded cantina has experienced this when groups are near capacity. It's annoying and there is nothing wrong with feeling upset about a situation no one can control. I admit that I have been cranky enough about not being able to get into an entertainment group that I've just logged in disgust before. ![]()
However, I feel it is wrong for you to intentionally set yourself up to try to block patrons from getting past you in a cantina, and particularly to do it for the purpose of blocking other entertainers from getting experience! That's griefing in a nasty, dog-in-the-manger way, not "boycotting" by any stretch of the imagination.
It's also blatantly wrong to spam, every minute for - what was it, an hour? longer? -the same vulgar message about a group leader who didn't want you in the group or didn't have room in the group for you. I guess I missed the part of your post where you explained you were also doing that, sorry.
If you were being told you were a jerk, I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest it might have been because of those two things. Did getting kicked off by a CSR make you feel vindicated or like you did the right thing?
You said you think you have a bias cast on you. I agree, though it's not because you're grinding for jedi or even because you run AFK macros.
It's because this isn't the first time you have announced you're going to block the entrance to the Theed cantina on Starsider because you can't get into a group for whatever reason (group full, people want to save space for novice entertainers, etc, innate mistrust of rodians, etc).
I hate to say this, but each time you announce "If you don't let me in the group right now I am going to block the cantina entrance with my nalargon and steal all of your exp," the number of "live" entertainers that will feel comfortable grouping with you will grow less and less. If you want to alienate your peers, I'm saddened by this; I'm sure there's a better way to deal with frustrations, right?
On a side note: I am probably just misunderstanding this, but you're telling us here that you're not an AFK bot and that you are not a musician for money or for giving buffs.
Yet I could have sworn I saw a post on the musician forum a few days back where you said the opposite, that you did AFK buffing and actually were AFK most of the time, and that you were upset over money because some poor guy didn't pay you for a buff as your macro requested. Maybe this wasn't you?
Ah, here it is:

Will the real Coven please step forward?
P.S.: While we're correcting inaccuracies here, the group leader you were harassing was not a "he" - I wasn't the group leader, but I was in the group.
