Just list your favorite emotes and how you like to use them. I'm always amazed how suggestive the stuff the Devs put into this game.
Mine are:
/zip self - good for those quiet moments
/twitch - another good one for those quiet moments

/hail is quite good as a greeting as not many other people use it...

I didn't even know about it. 
I use /smile a lot as a greeting when someone comes in the door. I also use /greet and /welcome sometimes, but usually I'll type something out instead. And I /beam at tippers.
As a Rodian, I also completely avoid /wink and /blink. Cus, you know, with the no eyelids and all.
