Thread: How Does the New Dual Entertainer Buff Work?

Can someone explain how the New dual buff will work? Do I have to be grouped with 2 entertainers and listen and watch 2 different folks at the same time? Or Do i just watch a entertainer dance and I get both buffs at the same time?

This actually is not a new feature. This was previously possible, but broken when the speed buff exploit was prevented. Same as before, one may /startlisten a Musician and then /startwatch a Dancer... the Musician and Dancer would then each /setperform you... after the alotted time had passed, you would /stopwatch theDancer and /stoplisten the Musician. You should then receive both buffs.

I am just trying to understand how this will work, so you are saying to get dual buffs i have to listen and watch Two Different Entertainers in the same group at the same time is that right?

No, I never said anything about grouping. Grouping is not necessary to receive an Entertainer buff. Just the steps I have described above are necessary. Yes, there must be three total characters involved to do a simultaneous buff.... the bufee, the Musician and the Dancer.

Oh, no. I remember some of his other posts. 
But few bots will be able to get over certain...effects of this patch. Given what I know about bot owners' mentality, NO bots will be successful in overcoming the bugs in this patch.

And so whats your point Cendatine? I am at least offering aTruthfull observations about how to improve the class, not running around crying and whining about macro bots,calling otherposters names,linking folks to other postsand telling folks not to help out like you. In my opinion that is childish,
There are all type of bots in game, Combat bots, Entertainer bots, Crafting bots etc etc etc Eliminating bot macros is not the solution. Bots in myopinion have a place in the game. I use to play DE, I find it very interesting, very fun, but it requires a ton of money as a profession, a ton of resoruce gathering, and a lot of time. I personally didnt find all of that investment worth selling a droid for 30k like other DE's so because there not enough money in making droids to pay for all of the overhead of harvesters, vendors, resoruces and time I changed professions and moved on to what did pay better for the investment I made.
Same thinggoes for Entertainer, if they don't make more interesting things to do for the class like dancing during hunting parties so folks can get mind buffed or interesting quests or access to theme parks, or create ways for folks to make credits folks move on to other professions. Eliminating buff bots will NOT make me come back to DE nor come back to Entertainer but making interesting quests, ways to progress in class, earn credits as fast as a combat person does would. You know how long it would take me to earn 1 million credits as a dancer so that I could buy an orange rug for my home wouldtake?
I can go out and kill meetlumps Earn Credits doing it and the components I need to make it myself. Thats why folks move on and do other things. I think all the classes are fun but personally I find the combat roles more challenging with more things to learn and do. Just my opionion... I don't single out and flame others, tell others notto help people, or post their links in an effort to cause problems for them in the forums....so don't try it with me..

hey guys nice to meet you all,I know this question was asked here and on the dancer forums But,if your in a group with both there is not passive buffs anymore right? it has to be directed to you? So no more every one in group can buff at the same time

Music buffs work normally--both active and passive. Dance buffs work when active (the performance is directed) but no not when passive, except when receiving both Dance and Music buffs simultaneously and using /stopwatch before using /stoplisten.
In short, yes everyone in a group can buff at the same time, but you'll need to have two live Entertainers there to make it happen. On the bright side, this means that you and yourgroup can have a full set of Entertainment buffs in as little as 3 minutes and 20 seconds.
