Thread: Trigger Words Help us compile a list.
"Trigger Words" are those words that cause an emote to fire when you say them. For instance, "I don't know" causes your character to shake her head and shrug, or "Wow!" can make your character get a shocked look on his face.
We're looking for a list of "triggers" that could be used to initiate emotes while doing dramatic performances. If you happen to experience one, help us out by writing it down along with the emote type and posting it here when you get a chance.
Thanks!
Okay, here goes, off the top of my head:
yup, yep, yes, yeah = nod
nope, no, don't = shake head
help!, crazy! = wild gesticulation
love = hug self
wanna = tantrum
pleasure = bow
sir! = salute
That's it. I'm out. It's also useful to note that the words have to be all lowercase to work.
worry = cringes
The pleasure was all mine/It was a pleasure= bow (Don't know the exact keyword)
Heh, I guess pleasure was already covered. *grin*
Oh, and help! being a wild gesture explains why someone did that when they said "Thank you for your help!" We both just kind of stared at each other like "What was that?"
ha, lol = laugh
There is one that makes me laugh when i see it. The trigger is is either 'with me' or just 'me' at the end of a sentence. Try saying "Do you want to come with me?"
Your character will shake his/her hair and brush it away from their face in a haughty sort of way.
Oh yeah, me of course! How can I forget? My character has an ego the size of Naboo, and uses that animation all the time, either by intentionally saying a trigger word, or using /primp.
come = beckoning gesture
Ending a sentence with "Here" sometimes makes you point at the ground.
putting "me" in a sentence will make you do some silly hair flicking animation (or lekku flicking...)
aha! - you point a finger up in the air and wave it like you just thought of something important.
Oh, I forgot!
dunno = shrugs
yum(my?), hungry, tasty, eat = patting belly
tired, sleepy = yawn & stretch
I think everyone caught the ones I know.
I didn't see "love" though.
It is perhaps the most annoying emote, because when I say, "love," it's not because of something positive.
"I'd love to get back at Jabba for taking my uncle's farm."
Then my character places her hands on her chest and sighs contentedly. Bleh!
yes = nod
yes! = both hands up in a victory pose
