Right now, there are NO xps I have testedthat are actually increased by Inspiration buffs.

Here are onesthat have beentested:

Combat

Unarmed Combat

One-Handed Weapons

Carbine Weapons

Pistol Weapons

Rifle Weapons

Polearm Weapons

Two-Handed Weapons

Surveying

Wilderness Survival (received for Scout crafting, but no longer usable for skills)

Scouting

General Crafting

Medical Crafting

Dancing

Music

Image Design

Entertainer Healing

Trapping

Jedi

Armorsmith

There wasno bonus xp givenfor any of these, andthey were testedbefore and after being Inspired by a dancer.

Here is an example of my system messages before and after an Inspriation

killed kreetle, unarmed (before)

"You receive 100 points of Unarmed Combat experience."

"You receive 10 points of Combat experience."

killed kreetle, unarmed (after)

"You receive 110 points of 10 experience. (#TT bonus experience)"

"You receive 11 points of 1 experience. (#TT bonus experience)"

Consultingmy profession sheet, I found I had received a total of 20 Combat xp and 200 Unarmed xp. The Inspiration had showed up in system spam, but not in the xp counter.

In fact, the only type of experience I found that wasaffected by the Inspiration was the Surveying xp.

pre-Inspiration Survey:

"You successfully locate a 1 unit sample of Kawop."

"You receive 34 points of Surveying experience."

Actual Surveying xp: 34

post-Inspiration Survey:

"You successfully locate a 1 unit sample of Kawop."

"You receive 31 points of 3 experience. (#TT bonus experience)"

Actual Surveying xp: 28

So in this situation, the actual xp I received went down after the Inspiration.

Have you tested other types of xp? Have you tested and received results other than this? What about crafting results, do they really get better with Inspiration buffs? Please post any observations!

Add JEDI xp to your list.

I have been killing the same mobs with the same group with and without inspiration buffs.

killed mob WITHOUT inspiration buff

"You receive954 points ofJedi experience."

killed same mob WITH inspiration buff

"You receive 1049 points of95 experience. (#TT bonus experience)"

After cheking my experience bar, I only got 954 xp.

Brilliant!

"My, those entertainers are going to riot! We've taken away their buffing and their wound healing. Lets give them some new power.. oh, I dunno, xp bonus! Yeah, that sounds good! They're love us for that. Only, we can't actually make them useful. No one plays entertainers anyway, right? Lets just make an icon for this new "buff" and change the system messages so that it looks like it does something."

At which point someone else pipes in with "hey, I've got an even better idea! You know those people that play crafters? Lets try even harder to make them into combatants by making them get less xp from this new entertainer buff! Pretty soon, there'll be a lot less work for us to do, because there'll only be two professions!"

I think I am among a few people on being proud of my Master Dancer title. I worked my rear off to become a master. I was never AFK when I was grinding and if I was I was gone for no more than 10 minutes. It took me three weeks of beinging a pit of AFK's in the cantina. I worked hard for my title, and people used to actually get angry when I would come in because I would converse with people and make tips, I am going to rise throught the CU take it in stride. This is something I have worked my butt off with and I am not going to give it up because of some changes, there is more to being an entertainer than dancing you converse as well, make them feel welcome, Inspire them and heal their BF. I have made more money than ANY other dancer out there in my small time in the game for the simple fact that I am NOT an AFK grinder. I have no problem with the changes done. It's done to make the game a better experience for everyone. (well once the bugs are worked out at least)

Sorry I just had to say that.

Yes, but, converse with who? Nobody even comes into the cantinas anymore. Even less would come if they knew our new buff was a fake.

I also am sticking it out, but without an audience, entertaining isn't all that great.

Just an FYI, Wilderness Survival no longer exists in the game (although it still shows up in the experience points list). The survival line was replaced with scout XP requirements, and all survival XP converted into scout experience.

I've noticed that Inspiration buffs don't affect Armorsmith experience. I got the same XP before, during and after the buffs wore off.

Thanks. I wondered why I hadn't gotten any Wilderness Survival xp while camping. I got it while crafting camp kits. This makes me wonder what type of xp is given for filleting fish now. As I recall, under the old system that gave Wilderness Survival too.

According to several friends whom I have asked, it appears that there is a distinction between system messages of the format "You have received 4000 points of Carbine Experience," and the format "You have received 4000 points of 400 Experience."

Perhaps it is an error in the way the variables are named? I tried buffing myself and having someone else buff me...neither gave me extra experience though the combat panel stated I was getting the bonus.

According to today's patch notes, the issues with the Inspiration buff have been fixed. Anyone tested the xp bonus yet today?
