Thread: entertainer revamp wishlist, anyone?
That would be cool to dance for the emporer
hmm.. Definately a full set of flourishes for exotic.
I dance for Jabba on a regular basis, Oola refuses to learn the flourishes for Exotic 4, no matter how hard I try to train her.
I would like to see the broken dances fixed.
An ability for Ents to refit armour and weapons so that they are without stats for decorative use in performances.
For Ents to have a larger group size.
For Ents to have further morale boosting buffs.
To have terrain negotiation, improved dodgeand improved burst run, after all both musicians and dancers have to be in peakfitness to perform. These would all help non combat ents to get out of trouble whilst travelling to their homes or favourite vendors.
And while we're at it, fix the flourishes, implement partner dancing, allow us to alter armour/weapons to be props, give us specific props and give us all a moon on a diamond necklace.
Hummm, the moon would have to make top of my list.....
Oh, and dancing for the Emperor is fairly easy if you can find an imperial who dosen't mind effectively doing the entire themepark for you. That's why alternative crafter/ent roues through the themeparks would be fantastic.

2. Bigger groups. The limit sucks now when you try to get a whole band together.
3. More quests. Not the stupid low paying entertainer "missions".
4. Special clothing just for dancers (when completed a quest)...something along the lines of the rewards for completing quests. If you complete a dancer's quest, you would have a special article of clothing or jewelry.
5. Safe travel routes for quests
so there would be myriads of selfmade songs and not just
six songs firing off the same old samples every time.
So we musicans need a new interface to be able to do so.
any outfit, regardless of amor certification.
A professional musican could get some crowd control abilites like calming
down wild animals (remember the Pied Piper of Hamelin? :smileyvery-happy
one or two bodyguard droids, that actually do what they're intended to rather
you need to do special missions like reciting notes to proove your music abilities,
(like in one of my all time fav Lucas Arts games that is "Loom"),
there could be a music teacher module for some droids...
points with the crafter pool, while the combat professions have their own combat skill
point pool. It's not fair to exclude artists from what seems to be the core of the game,
combat. :/ And even if some of us are not interested in the combat aspect of the game at all,
we shouldnt suffer from it while exploring the outback.
for the entertainers to help them make their performances something memorable,
maybe even a new elite entertainer profession like "special effects technican".
I want the revamp to include some very different options for entertainers. I don't believe the devs are ever going to remove the afkability so instead I'd like to see a system that allows entertainers the opportunity to get out into the world rather than simply hide in their own private spaces to avoid the zombification of NPC cantinas. Specifically:
Entertainer quests: not just go here and get 30 people towatch or listento you but real quests. The DE's and MA's currently have a role to fill in DWB groups and I have heard that tailors are getting something with the ROTW expansion. I'd like something similar for entertainers - one of the "in the future" possibilities was having entertainers "charm" dungeon NPC's. We could even be incorporated into current themeparks - combatants take an entertainer with them and the entertainer performs for the NPC that's providing the missions. This allows the combat character to either get additional missions or skip missions (their option). Smugglers could get additional information out of those spynet NPCs if an entertainer performed for them and thus reduce the amount of time randomly searching planets. that type of thing..
GCW involvement: This can vary in complexity and danger from having entertainers able to secure information useful for combatants (similar to the idea behind voting for the mayor of Bestine. except the combatants come to the entertainers to get the information) to having entertainers out in the field at various factional POIs. Having the entertainer perform changes the response of the enemy troops - like catching them unaware
For those entertainers not looking for more action but who want more than just the cantinathen the revamp can include props and additions that allow entertainers to really put on performances - droppable stages, special lighting, etc..
