Make mind healing an active process. Require people to be grouped with you to be healed. You can't be healed by a medical person just by watching them. They have to DO something to heal you. Make it the same way with entertaining. We should have to DO something to heal mind wounds.

Then people just add /join to their macro to be invited to a group like they do now ::sigh:: good idea in theory though.

BF, Mind wound healing, and even buffs are free of charge. They always were. The effort to distribute these things in an entyertaining manner is not, and its why our income is based on player tips. To me, an activation of the process will only make my ATK job more burdensome. I can compete with the bots ONLY because I am able to provide something they cannot: attentiveness, and its what I owe ALL my income to.

well, then people spam "invite me to your group for healing" all day, like the buff bots do. which only leads to me having less customers, and a larger ignore list.

Yeah, people add /join to their macros, and their bots join and leave groups all day long.

yes, but then we cant have big enough groups to have things work, and they can always /makeleader the musican, then have everyone leave

Maybe targeting instead, like how a doctor has to target and heal someone to get the xp.
But then that opens the "YOU HOGGED MY XPZ!!@!@!" can of worms.

I agree that our services should not be passive. Although it would be a detriment to realism, it would certainly be empowering for entertainers. Instead of /denyservice, it would be nice if we had /alow service or some kind of acceptance box like you get when someone tries to mess up your hair. This would of course only be necessary for those who are not grouped with you.

AFKs are fine, its not their fault they get hungry, are forced to do this by macros, or want to enjoy friends and/or familly while gaining the (VERY) slow xp.

Geez, get a life--so people macro and AFK. You should be glad, the more people in your group the better for XP, right?
I haven't needed XP in 6 months, and I do care about the problem. AFK/Macro-tainers nerfed the profession, and it pisses me off! One of the things that made this game different from other MMORPGs was that I could do something besides typical combat and healing professions.
I have yet to see a _GOOD_ argument for why AFK/macroing is not a problem.
