Thread: Harvesting Droid with very low CL/DL?

I'm in need of a harvesting droid now, but I first need to determine what the max harvesting rating is with the lowest CL/DL of the droid. At least I think I do anyway... The thing is, the character which will be using this droid will probably be CH 0004, so I want to minimize the CL/DL of the droid as I understand it will reduce the max level of a creature which could be out at the same time.
Whatchassis will we need to look for in order to get the most slots with the lowest level? Thanks!

Droids do not fall under the CH Level restrictions. A Novice CH can have a Pet and a Droid, of any level.

A droid counts towards your total number of pets. And for everyone other than a CH, the total number of pets you can have out is 1, which means you can't have a droid and a pet out at the same time unless you are a CH.
You are asking about the CL on the droids though. So far as I understand, CLs on droids are pretty meaningless. Every droid has the same CL no matter what modules it has and no matter what type of droid it is. The only exception to that rule I am aware of is the Probot. The probot has a slightly higher CL than all the others to my knowledge.
Now as to whether or not the droid's CL plays a role in calculating the total CL for all of a CH's pets, I have no idea. But either way, knowing that isn't going to help you. You are asking for a droid with a lower CL, and it isn't possible. All droids have the same CL, with the exception of the Probot, whose CL is one higher than all the other droids.

OK, now that's weird. I know we tried this a few weeks ago, calling both a pet and a droid, and we couldn't get it to work. Now you tell us that is does work, and we try again. This time, we were able to call a kaadu and an MSE Droid together. Strange...
