ok please answer these questions ,, why because i would like to know

1. would you like all advanced droids to have a chassis that can be used as display model ,, most of the droids we make can be displayed,, but not the low level droids like MSE ,D270,R5 and tredwell .?

2.do you think droids should be "programable" as in that any droid body can do any job with the right modules or that droid bodies should be specific as in a Bll can lift stuff but you cant mount a weapon on it or a data module even, ?

3.do you think droid engineers should be able to have more droids in data pad then non DE? and should it be skill based like CH or just DE can have more from novice on ?

4. do you think Droid engineer should be able to call more droids then 1 at a time and should it be level based like ch or can have 2 or maybe 3 from novice on ?

5.and last one do you think droid batteries should be moved up skill tree to novice DE instead of artisan

thanks in advance all that answer this

1. would you like all advanced droids to have a chassis that can be used as display model ,, most of the droids we make can be displayed,, but not the low level droids like MSE ,D270,R5 and tredwell .?
Yes. The biggest bonus a DE has with chasis is being able to display them in his/her shop as an example to what the droid can look like, an what colours it *could* have. Most people don't even know what a WED Treadwell droid is and what it looks like... which makes it pretty **edit** impossible to sell.

2.do you think droids should be "programable" as in that any droid body can do any job with the right modules or that droid bodies should be specific as in a Bll can lift stuff but you cant mount a weapon on it or a data module even, ?
Each model should have a specific role. As a rule of thumb, I will generaly only sell certain modules in certain droids. For instance; medical modules ONLY in surgical droids. certain crafting modules in certain R2 units etc

3.do you think droid engineers should be able to have more droids in data pad then non DE? and should it be skill based like CH or just DE can have more from novice on ?
It should be skill based and within the "Droid Production" line. Non DE should only be able to store 3, Novice DE should be able to store 5. It should then increase by a factor of 1 for each droid production skill box, and then gain an extra one at Master, allowing a Master DE to store a total of 10 droids.

4. do you think Droid engineer should be able to call more droids then 1 at a time and should it be level based like ch or can have 2 or maybe 3 from novice on ?
Master DE should allow one more droid to be called. Everyone else should still be limited to one. In all honesty, a DE shouldn't require more than 2 droids out unless you are using them for combat... and combat SHOULD NOT be a considered factor of the DE tree. I don't give a rats arse about combat droids. Give me better crafting droids!

5.and last one do you think droid batteries should be moved up skill tree to novice DE instead of artisan
Yes, droid batteris should be in the DE skill tree. Also, they should require a power resource and not all metal like they currently require... you can't make a battery from steel alone you know!

Yes. And I'd like to add that we should be able to convert existing droids into chassis, like we're supposed to be according to the description for the adv chasis schematic slot for the adv droids.

2.do you think droids should be "programable" as in that any droid body can do any job with the right modules or that droid bodies should be specific as in a Bll can lift stuff but you cant mount a weapon on it or a data module even, ?

The only ones I see that should perhaps be restricted are the surgicals and LE's.

3.do you think droid engineers should be able to have more droids in data pad then non DE? and should it be skill based like CH or just DE can have more from novice on ?

Yes. But it should be incremental like the one of the previous posters suggested.

4. do you think Droid engineer should be able to call more droids then 1 at a time and should it be level based like ch or can have 2 or maybe 3 from novice on ?

Two at the top of one of the trees and three at master.

5.and last one do you think droid batteries should be moved up skill tree to novice DE instead of artisan

No. It seems to me that someone who knows nothing about droids could be taught to make a battery.

Yes. Contrary to popular belief, the lower-end droids are quite useful. It seems unfair that an R3 customer gets tosee what they're buying, but an R5 customer has toguess.

2. Do you think droids should be "programable" as in that any droid body can do any job with the right modules or that droid bodies should be specific as in a Bll can lift stuff but you cant mount a weapon on it or a data module even?

I think there should be both "programmable" and "non-programmable" droids. Example: I believe a BLL carries heavy stuff.. End of list. However, an astromech can be programmed to do virtually anything.

3. Do you think droid engineers should be able to have more droids in data pad then non DE? and should it be skill based like CH or just DE can have more from novice on ?

I think the Refinement line would become useful if it granted you an extra droid per completed skill box.

4. Do you think Droid engineer should be able to call more droids then 1 at a time and should it be level based like ch or can have 2 or maybe 3 from novice on ?

Absolutely a DE can control more droids. As a DE I have intimate knowlege of the droids' logic and control interfaces. I should be able to control a number of them as I progress up the DE trees. I do NOT think it should be a lump gift of extra droids when you reach NoviceDE. It should be spread out, to discourage power-gamers from just training NoviceDE and buying 5 droideka.

5. Do you think droid batteries should be moved up skill tree to novice DE instead of artisan?

I had noopinion on this until lately, whenstoring the droid no longer recharges it. I think artisans could make a droid battery, no sweat, and is more important now that the demand for batteries will be out of control. I do thinkthe schematic should be granted a little further up the Engineering tree though. As it is, I think it's a NoviceArtisan item.. I may be wrong though.

1. I'm not sure I understand this one well, but I would like it if ALL our droids could have a chassis to be displayed. I think that the reason the DZ70 and the Treadwell are so rare is that nobody knows they even exist (Forget that the DZ70 is no good at combat; Makes an interesting crafting station).

2. I would rather have more specificity with droids, i.e. the LE repair droid and the Treadwell are the only ones that can repair. I do believe that some flexibility might be ok (an R2 can hold the same, but less modules than the R3, or the R5 can't hold the same quality as an R2 etc.), but not to the degree that we have now.

3. Yes, I do believe that we should be able to have more than your average person. We are DE's, and droids are what we work with. I'm not sure though what kind of extra important functionality that would give us. Should it be like CH? Probably... A master is a Master.

4.I've been thinking about that and it's not as clear cut as the others. Sure, CH's can have more than pet out at a time. But what do pets do? Fight... And that's it....

Imagine we could take out our probot, power droid, and LE repair droid all at the same time. What kind of capabilities would this give us? Have the probot tank, the LE keep's it fixed, and the power droid keeps it powered up. A bit too powerful? Perhaps...

5. Not really... Artisans do not have much to sell to the general public as it stands. This could be a great newbie item which all droid users would need. Do we really need to corner the market on all things droid?

It would only be natural to be able to display all of the different types of droids we can make. I was actually surprised the other day when I saw someone with a Treadwell. Made me wonder if they knew what they were getting when they purchased it. To be honest, I had a hard time remembering what the Treadwell looked like until I did some searching over the internet. Most customers probably don't even know what we can make without having a display model. Especially since all we get are those stupid little deeds that dont show anything.

2.do you think droids should be "programable" as in that any droid body can do any job with the right modules or that droid bodies should be specific as in a Bll can lift stuff but you cant mount a weapon on it or a data module even, ?

I love the idea of implementing some sort of "programming" feature. I envision it as some sort of module that can be placed in certain droids that makes the accept programs. A seperate "reusable" item would contain simple macro-like commands that could be placed in the droid. A person could have several so they could change them around.... maybe too much wishful thinking...

3.do you think droid engineers should be able to have more droids in data pad then non DE? and should it be skill based like CH or just DE can have more from novice on ?

I think DEs should automatically be able to have the most number of droids owned. It hardly seems right that I would have to destroy one in order to "tame" a new one I just made. I would like to be able to own at least one of each type I can make.

4. do you think Droid engineer should be able to call more droids then 1 at a time and should it be level based like ch or can have 2 or maybe 3 from novice on ?

YES. DEs should be able to call more than one. I like the ideas of adding extra capabilty through the refinement branch. However, I don't think it should be limited to DEs (but maybe still more for DEs than non-DEs). A certification system will most likely come into existance and it may be the best way, no matter how nervous I am about its implementation.

5.and last one do you think droid batteries should be moved up skill tree to novice DE instead of artisan

Nope. Batteries are fine where they are. So what if droids are the only thing that can use them. How many other items come from artisan (particularly Master Artisan) that are usuable only by Droid Engineers? Those devs seem to like the dependency thing.

I'll take a stab at it...

1. Sure, it would make droid shop displays more complete but isn't even on my wish list with all the other issues.

2. Droid styles should have some built in basic funtions that can't be performed by modules put into other models. Then all the droids can have a customer's choice of additional functional modules added to support/augment the basic functions. Hmm, kinda like this from aFAQ someplace (I borrowed it)

"Does the crafting system allow you to make droids?
Yes, the crafting system is designed to allow players to build droids and droid components including chassis, motivators, sensors, and electronics. Players can build their droids for one of three specific fields: service, technical, or combat. Service droids assist players in every day tasks including serving food and drink, translating, and bearing burdens. Technical droids assist in the construction, repair and maintanence of items, vehicles and structures. Combat droids can be equipped with weapons and programmed to fight for their owner."

3. DEs are supposed to be able to hold fivedroids in the datapad and non-DEs only three. Is this even working? I'm pretty sure my Architect friend can hold just as many as I can but I haven't found enough use for droids to have any more than two or three myself.

4. Yes but I can see some problems with it. It would depend on how they implement droid certifications for the new combat droids if I'm still around to see it. (I'm currently saving enough steel/fiberplast to get to master again if/when I surrender it until after the new year for something that's currently working)

5. Batteries are a pretty generic item normally but under these circumstances I would say give them to Novice DE unless some other use can be found for them in other professions (like recharging survey tools occasionally or something.

On a side note, I find it strange that an Artisan can build personal harvesters that should really be Architect only but they can't buildthose nearly useless MSE and DZ70"Combat" <stifles laughter> droids. They've got a lot of work ahead of them (SOE).

1. I would like to see adv. chassis of all the droids. The ones that people want to see are the treadwell, dz70, and power droids because they don't know what they look like. It would also just be nice to have a display of all the droids.

2. Some droids should have specific tasks, others should be more general. For example, a mouse droid should be able to have data modules up to 6, and possibly low level item storage. Astromechs should be able to have any modules up to level 4, and any crafting station (maybe not for lower level R4/5's). Surgicals should be able to have all medical modules, and food/chem crafting. Repair droids should be allowed to have weapon/droid crafting, repair (working) and probably some item storage for added usablility. Load lifters would get structure crafting and item storage (more than 10 would be nice). Treadwell droids would be ale to have weapon/droid crafting and repair modules. DZ70, more combat capable. Probot, level 4 modules. Protocol, cloth/armor crafting and some use for languages or something. If I've missed any, I'm tired.

3. I'm torn on this one, while I don't think there's any reason we should get more droids (I did not take up this profession because I wanted to use droids, I started it because I wanted to make them) but it would be nice to have one of each model I could show my customers if they're intersted.

4. There is no reason we should have more droids out at one time than anyone else. the whole point of droids is they are supposed to be intelligent, meaning you don't need any real skill to control them. If they were to raise the number of droids everyone could have out, that would be fine, but DE's shouldn't get more.

5. I say let artisans have droid batteries, as it is there isn't much they can make that people will buy (other than crates of powerups, and factories don't give xp). We make enough money off droids, plus people will still generally come back to the person who made the droid for the batteries. I've actually been telling people to look fora master artisan (as I am not one) so they could get more charges per battery.
