I just bought a new advanced proto droid. I can train it all the commands, but when I store it and call it back out it looses all the commands I trained into it. I was able to change its name and that stays. I put in a battery and that did not help. I retrained the commands and the same thing happened. I did notice it said it was a level 16 droid. Is this why It doesn't keep it's training? Do I have to get a DE to train it for me?

Proto? as in Protocol?

Uh, your issue sounds like a bug but.. How did you name it!!!!! That hasnt been possible before!

I think it was a protobot droid. I am not in game now. It had a structures module, med to 110 and ham about 810. I did the naming as normal. I named it "beda". I did the 4 commands. such as:

group: beda gp

stay: beda sit

follow target: beda ft

follow me: beda fm

Ahh a probot, ok those can be named

As for your acutaly issue, first I have heard of it and its never happened to me so i dont know what to tell ya sorry

My guess is that your using the droids name when issuing the commands you trained. Once he is trained issue your commands without using his name first. "Sit" instead of "Beda sit". See how that works. Also commands are case sensitive.

I guess I am not being clear, the probot knows its name and I can set the commands. It will follow the commands as long as I don't store the robot.

Once, I store it and bring it back out, It looses the commands and I have to retrain it.

Is this because I am not a DE? Do I have to get a DE to train it for the commands to stick?

I understand that you have to be a CH to train pets. Is this being added to the droids as a requirement for the more advanced droids?

I've not heard of this being the case.

Are you using the radial menu to store or a programmed command?

Do you have another droid that does this or just the Probot?

Was this a newly made Probot or a 'pre-nerf' model?

I am not sure why this matters, but I stored it3 different ways just ot see if the commands were working after I reprogramed it each time. (3 times in all before I gave up). I stored it using the radial that comes up when you right hold on the probot, I used the store command when clicking on the robot on the data pad, and the last time I said store out loud. all 3 times it stored and and promptly forgot the commands when I called it from the datapad. I don't remember whether I used the radial or the datapad when I stored it for the last time before giving up.

I have 2 other droids, an r4 and r5. I didn't have this problem with them, but I have had them for at least 2 months.

This was a brand new purchase. I have no idea when it was made, but it started out in schematic form.

The 2 droids I have say they are only difficulty of 1, if I remember right ( I know one did and I think the other did also).The new droid has a difficulty of 16. Could this have anything to do with it?

I believe he said the HAM was 810, so it would be post (nerfed) probot.

I had a fellow PAer with the same issue last night. I have noticed if the droids are low on power they will not respond. He pumped several batteries into it and still no good. Had him transfer to me (I'm MDE) and I trained it. Then transferred it back. As far as I know it is still working.

Someone else said once a droid is trained u don't need to do their name with command? Hmmm. I thought that only pertained to CH Pets. I will try that out when I get home.

I put a battery in it after I called it the second time. I reprogrammed the commands, stored and called the probot, It then gave me the same message about not retaining the commands( I don't remember the exact wording)and I had to reprogram itagain. It still kept its name and the data schematics I had put in it after I trained it the first time.

After each subsiquent calling I verified the data schematics were still in it's memory and that it retained its name.

This is a new one I guess.. /bug it
