Is there advantage to going the extra mile and getting lvl 6 armor in a droid instead of 2 lvl 4?

Also does only one combat module give the same attack dmg as one with 5 modules?

Thanks.

Not really, the only problem you run into is on droids that only hold 1 armor mod (DZ70), these need lvl 6 to be a CL30. 2 lvl 4's work just fine on models that have 2 armor slots.

Yes ATM one combat mod and 1 lvl 6 equivelent armor mod is max damage of CL30.

I'm getting CL 30 Combat Droids by including just 1 Level 4 Armor Module and 1 Combat Module. Anyone else getting this?

Here is how the system works......

Armor Modules provide a bonus of 5CL per level of droid armor.

Droid Armor Level 1 = CL5
Droid Armor Level2 = CL10
Droid Armor Level3 = CL15
Droid Armor Level4 = CL20
Droid Armor Level5 = CL25
Droid Armor Level6 = CL30

Combat Modules provide 5CL per every 55 points of Combat Rating.

CL5 = 1 - 55 Combat Rating
CL10 = 56 - 110 Combat Rating
CL15 = 111 - 165 Combat Rating
CL20 = 166 - 220 Combat Rating
CL25 = 221 -275 Combat Rating
CL30 = 276 + Combat Rating

You can stack the effects of Combat Modules and Droid Armor together, inorder to gain the CL30 Rating. Simply add the bonus of the Armor Module to the bonus of the Combat Module.

Making SWG more Star Warsy. One droid at a time.

Its such a pity though that5 x combat modules and 1 x 6 armor module doesnt push the CL level up .. but oh well I guess they have to limit it somehow.

Ha! Thanks Drashk! I knew I wasn't insane. Er, much. That table you posted is a thing of beauty. Especially since it proves me right.

1 Lvl 4 Armor = 20

1 56-110 Combat Mod = 10

Total = CL 30

It works, it's cheaper to build the Droid, your bottom line looks much healthier (and in one of the poorer crafting professions in the game, that's important).
