what kind of r-2 can a master pilot use?
cert level 6 regardless of astromech droid type
If you are a master pilot, you should be using an Rn* with a L6 flight computer installed.
*n should probably be 4... Unfortunately, there really isn't much use out of getting a more advanced astromech in your ship. Droid modules aren't very useful for a pilot... Repair modules don't work on ships, item storage modules tend to be more trouble than they are worth...
...Random point of curiosity, though: If you had an R2 unit with a shipwright crafting module installed and were in space taking advantage of the lag-free crafting, do you get to use your experimentation points?
the best you can get is a lvl 6 astromech droid. However, you could add in other things to help you in other aspects of the game like crafting, combat, storage ect. they won't help you in space but you would get more use out of your droid.
oh yeah, Stickies are your friend![]()

Item storage in droids works great. I will not buy an astromech without it.
