Thread: So... what's your DE business worth?
- Large stacks of server best DE resources. 42 stacks in all.
- Packs upon packs full of factory run subcomponents including large quantities of some of the advanced subcomponents and almost all of the modules.
- Crafting suit (11 point I think, but I already have enough attachments to make it a 12 point)
- Server best crafting tools
- Delivery (packed the house up and dropped it in my city for me in a remove corner of a different planet).
Total cost: 10mil
The way I see it, I can go right into business immediately if I want without having to shop around for anything. This guy saved me hours upon hours of shopping and factory runs. So the question to you is... what is your DE business worth? Think 10mil is a good deal here?

Not sure how much the material part of my business is worth, but the business itself is priceless. The contacts, customer base, and experience I've built up over the years can't be bought.
I definitely understand that. Repeat business is what keeps the wheels turnin'. The seller is also going to start referring his guildmates and past customers to me once I get the shop set up. The way I see it, this is just going to save me a ton of time getting to the point where I'm ready to meet demand. I feel like I really lucked out. He offered to sell me his shipwright business as well, but I'm going to start off w/ the DE stuff and work my way up from there.
I agree with building up the business yourself. There's no sense of accomplishment if you have it premade. It's almost analagous to buying in-game credits, just not as dirty.
10 mill for a whole setup sounds like a great deal, however, I'd prolly chuck any subcomponents that aren't of high quality. That is, prolly chuck det modules that weren't 9 det power or harvest modules. Stuff like that that requiresa higher experimentation. The subcomponents, I'd prolly jump all over since it would save me factory time.
Also, I wouldn't even begin to put a pricetag on my business since I have so many good resources and I have large runs of most of the subcomponents premade. It's taken a good 3-4 months running 7 factories to get all the runs done to have the subcomponent inventory that I do.
I kept one crate back and shoved it in a bookcase/container. Whenever I need to build something I just take the crate out of the bookcase and use it from there, if the crate runs dry theres plenty more for me on the storage vendor
I did this with chassis too, only thing I really have to make are the clusters
And no, I wouldn't sell up
Yup I'd say that you got a good deal there - it will certainly save you a lot of time!
As for the price on my business? On the ground it's prob not worth that much but the customer base and the love ya get from them is priceless!
I feel a Mastercard advert coming on....
I would easily bet the resources along would easy be worth 10 mil....definatly...
and the time you'll save starting up not having to worry right away fora while about long crafting runs...priceless
If you got a bit o backup cash I'd say go for it

It's a done deal. I bought his resources and existing factory crates of subcomponents along with the crafting suit for 10mil, and yes you're right... the resources alone saved me a TON of time not having to do hundreds of vendor location searches and fly all over the galaxy. From what I can tell, some of the named resources I have are not for sale anywhere in the galaxy. So I would have been out of luck until a nice spawn came along. Trust me I know... I had trouble just finding thesteel to craft a protocol droid until this guy dropped a few hundred thousand units of it right in my lap.
As far as the one poster's comment about building the business from scratch: I am building it from scratch
. I was just able to get my shopping out of the way in one fell swoop. I'm running some factory runs of common droids (BH/flight comps) now to get my vendor stocked up, and I've already had a few people find me via search and ask for custom droids that I wouldn't have been able to make without the resources I bought from him.
I'm now in the process of buying his space loot. This guy started collecting and sorting space loot on day one of the JTL launch, and though some of his stash has already been reverse engineered, he still has over 2000 components ready for me to RE. Busy busy busy!
