Has nobody complained about a new nerf we're getting yet?

The Devs will have added free data slots to every player. Places of Interest will now be given to everyone, thus nerfing the alread nerfed data module more, by giving even less reason to have one anymore. Not that I really care, but you can note the state of the module (not to mention the profession)when nobody's complained about this yet.

You can't store waypoints in them anyway...

Since they took away the ability to store waypoints in the data module, it doesn't do much for us anyway. Data modules are only good for schematic storage anymore.

Data modules still exist? Wow. Haven't seen one of those since......

Actually, I have found the Data Modules helpful for me. I store all my "old" schematics for my factory and only carry the current ones with me in my datapad. It was more useful before they changed the datapad with 'tabs" but I'm not complaining.

However, I have found that I can store all the "rebel Transmission disks", Data disks (from the Warren) and such items in the Data Module. This way it doesn't clutter up my datapad anyway.

I know you can't store waypoints in them, but the waypoints you stored for POIs and such took up space in your datapad, which took away from the amount of schematics you could store (like anyone kept lots of schematics anyways). The POIs being free now, frees up some of that space.

But that's not my point, my point is, none of us sell data modules, so none of us cared about this. We have it bad.

They need to let people put missions in datapads, and reduce the storage space to 10 max, maybe. Who cares if someone has 10 missions? I never could figure out why they'd want to limit them.

The largest drag on running missions to earn money is the fact that you have to run back to town constantly (generally 1000 meters or so) in order to get more missions.

If you could get 10 missions all in the same direction (you DO refresh to get all of your missions in the same direction, right?) then you would be nearly 5x as efficient at running missions. They don't want that much money coming into the game that easily, so that's why you can't store missions in a Droid Data module.

actually Kollos you can go to tantooine and get crafting missions that run between anchorhead and bestine and just shuttle back and forth it is quite efficient and also quite boring ...

Regardless, the point is the same. If you could carry 10 missions back and forth between Anchorhead and Bestine you'd still be 5 times as efficient as only being able to carry 2.

I earned my early cash running Artisan Loops... made 24k per hour easily while simultaneously grinding away Advanced Droid Frame Units to make Master Droid Engineer. Nothing quite like earning 100k XPs per hour while simultaneously earning credits.

Taking missions out of Anchorhead involves very little running. The largest drag on the operation is taking the objective and finishing the mission. I disagree that you're 5 times as efficient. You're maybe 1.5 - 2 times as efficient.

The point is, who cares? People can make a lot of money in this game in a variety of ways. I doubt if allowing more missions in a datapad will significantly increase the cash flow in the game.

You're also limited by the shuttle cycle, which is every 10 minutes. Can you consistently complete your 2 missions and get back to the shuttle terminal before the shuttle leaves? Or do you have to wait for the next shuttle cycle (10 minutes)?

If you have to wait, could you complete 10 missions in those same 10 minutes?

It may not be exactly 5 times as efficient, but since you're going to encounter that 10-minute shuttle cycle at least periodically I guarantee that it is more than 1.5 - 2 time as efficient.

Regardless, money only comes into this game by running missions. Not wimpy little crafting missions between Anchorhead and Bestine, but the big 40k missions on Lok or Yavin 4. And those are easily 5 times as efficient if you can carry 10 of them with you instead of 2.
