I've looking for another tank to add to my collection. I understand that Probots were supposed to be adjusted with last month's patch. Are they worth anything now if I get one with as much armor as they can carry?

They were slightly adjusted, and do a bit more damage now. I suppose they can now do 60% or so more max damage than they used to, but I never really think about how much damage probots do, only how much they can absorb.

Tank is the keyword here. The last patch upped the damage a bit (60-87), but the probot makes a better tank than they do on dishing out damage. They are far better than the non-CH pets now, and possibly better than the Bio Eng pets now since they nerfed the super pets and can't be made anymore.

One of mine (2 level 4 armor modules) tanked a plains hunter for me while I hit up one of my harvesters the other day. I didn't stay around to see who won (he was pretty beat up when I stored and called him from the pad) and got my little bothan butt out of there ASAP. I've been really impressed by them ( I now keep 3 in my pad to rotate)

Ok, how much CAN they absorb?? By my math, roughly 5500 effective hams.
For every 100 points dealt, a 40% medium armor probot takes 15 damage.
100/15= 6.67
6.67 x 800 = 5333 so we'll say 5500 effective HAMs. That sound about right??
