first off you wont sell any of these droids... you need to stack modules to get thier maxed benifits. Stuff like item storage of 10, med rating of 110. You should also sell akaryds and seeker droids, bounty hunters buy these up if they are cheap, excellent items to mass produce. Also sell crated droid storage modules, architects use these. Try also selling frames for the droids you have, and sell them for alot (10k). Not everyone knows what frames are basic, and which are not.

Why not? I myself sold quite a few R5s with the generic crafting station... And now I sell surgicals with 85% medical and food/chem crafting station quite well too
BTW, I sell the crafting station for 6k... I think 1k is quite too low

/agree. Being in a low DE level yet this is a good way to get some cash. Ive sold them even charging more than other DEs: 1k5 for a seeker and 3k for an arakid

Humm I've not tried this yet
Well I do stack the modules on the droids I am selling on my vendor or bazaar... I always make my droids with either 2 medical mods or 2 inventory mods. So yea, as far as stacking goes, I'm already on that one.
The only reason why I don't sell Seekers is because I don't have master artisan to make the components needed to craft the Seekers.
And by the droid frames, do you mean the chasis? If so, the only one that I can make is an R4 chasis, and I do have a couple of those on my vendor as well.
And if I may ask... why is 1k too low for a Weapon/Droid/Generic Crafting Station? After all, it doesn't take up 6k worth of resources to make, and I have enough trouble selling those droids as it is.
Oh, and I barely opened my shop up last night, so I don't know how that will go...
But I sell plenty of R4's, R5's, and DZ70's with medical mods right now on the bazaar.
As a general rule, I multiply the number of resources required to craftby a number between 5 and 10 to get a price for an item. The multiplier depends upon a variety of off-the-cuff factors (rarity of the resources required, time it takes to put together the subcomponents, how well the items sell, etc.). I'll add an extra cost if it used really high quality modules (because you have to destroy a lot of low quality modules before you experiment your way to a high quality one).
Not having MA you are going to start running into problems later if you don't secure a source of those MA components. Advanced droid brains require 8 MA components from factory crates. Advanced Motive systems require some too. And most of the best droids require Advanced Brains and Motive Systems. You might want to start thinking now about how you are going to secure sources for those MA electronics components.

Sure you can ask ![]()
First, please note I said "I consider it low", it was my opinion and maybe other DEshave another different opinion aswell. Maybe its a fair price on your server, but I feel its pretty low for Ahazi, where I am.
Second, I dont set the prices of modules just considering the resources they take, but the functionality the add. So, any crafting station provides a great function to our droids, its one of the most importants components if you ask me, so I charge for them accordingly ![]()

I just bought an Advanced MSE with WDG and Structure Crafting Station Modules for 5k. When I got that quote, I couldn't type "Sounds good to me!" fast enough! I would have gladly paid 20k for this droid. Why? Because I gotTWO MOBILE crafting stations for far less than the cost to buy ONE STATIONARY crafting station from an architecht, that's why. It all comes down to value. People buy things at aparticularprice because of the value they recieve, not because it took you X amount to produce it. Your cost to produce only sets the MINIMUM price you can sell for and not loose money.
The poor soul (who apparently just made MDE) had absolutely no sales skills whatsoever. The conversation went pretty much like this:
Me: Hi. How much would a basic crafting droid set me back?
Him: How does 5k sound?
Me: Sounds great to me!
Him: What kind of stations do you want on it? (Yes, he actually quoted me the price first! Before finding out specifically what I wanted/needed.)
Me: Weapon, Droid, & Gen and Structural
Him: Ok, let me finish this other order, then I'll do your's.
A little bit later.... (We were both at the Public WDG Crafting station in front of the Corellia Starport.
Him: #$&%^ I've got to go home to my private crafting station to make your structural module, this public one won't do it!
Me: lol ..... shouldn't YOU have a crafting droid?!?!?
Now, I've been thinking about being a DE, but if I'm competing against folks who sell at bargain basement prices that barely cover thier costs, instead of what the product is worth, then I'm going to need a second profession where I can make money to support my droid building habbit!
Fortunately, I knew what I wanted and what the benifits are, but not everyone does.
He didn't try to educate me on the benifits of his product, such as mobility and being able to craft something as you need it, rather than having to carry an inventory of finished product, etc.
Think about and promote the benifits and value of your product and price accordingly, you'll be much better off in the long run. Even if you do loose an occasional sale, the ones you do make will be more profitable and more than make up for the ones you loose.
Cheers!
