Thread: Patch Seven, A New Hope (urgent)
D&D Monkeys? Please explain... I play D&D (old version not the new crap)... wondering if i should be offended. (not really gonna get offended... just having some fun)
snoogians!
Boeda, NO
Give us back the armour AND let us heal in combat.
Thats how it should be to compensate for Pet Buffs, Pet buffing Chef Food, and Pet special attacks.
There is your difference.
Dear God stop suggesting nerfs before we even get off the ground, isn't it bad enough for you already?

And here I was, thinking I could try and bribe the devs with MONEY to not kill this game. I should offer them BANANAS!!!

Well I wouldnt mind having both. But I dont expect to get both. And, the pet buffing thing could be justification for more Armor/HAM increase, if not balanced already.
I know healing allows a flexibility we would lose with droids. But with that we would also gain the time we would have spent healing the droid for our own other combat related options. {running, chearing, etc (g)}

It's probably a reference to that Third Edition stuff... they seem to have given every action a numerical value... at least I find it hard to actually roleplay or use real creative initiative on situations when numbers solve it all. Other than that D&D similarity, I have no idea what the post is about.
But I agree, don't suggest nerfs to DEs. That's like pouring salt in open wounds round here.

I had a nice long post in reply and it went poof on me :/
Sufice it to say. I never played EQ or countless other D&D/Fantasy games. The Genre doesnt appeal to me. Now SciFi/Star Wars, that appeals to me. The argument could be made that they are similar, but I dont buy that
.
I want robots that make my life easier. I want robots, not to use at tanks, but to be respectable when protecting me vs that Mortled Wrix that attacked me while picking resources from a harvester that my utility droid cks periodicly and advised me that it needed emptied maintained or powered up (how is that for a runon sentence?). I want robot that if I am a medic/doctor I can tell it to go heal that poor stoopid noob monkey that got plastered by a Durny. I want a robot that if I am dancer/musician/entainer will give a light show to make your mind heal faster. I want a robot that if I am dancer/musician/entainer will help me buff your mind quicker than the current 15 freaking minutes. I want a robot that will sort out the schematics in my datapad and remember how I want them sorted. I want a robot that will translate what that ugly dumb Zabrak just said, not read on my chatbox: "blah blah blah blah" so/so said in Zabrak. I want a robot that while I am crafting I can tell to pick me up another 200k of that ubber steel in my storage shed.
That is all I want, but I am biased
.
That is what I meant by D&D monkeys
.

Well, I didnt ask for the Galaxy
You guys remember that poll they on the front page a while back?
An overwhelming majority of the people, that read all these boards, said they play because they are StarWars fans. MMORPGs be dammed.
But anyways, I am you guys side, not that it might make you feel any better. I just am
D&D players:
Don't be offended....I know exactly what the guy (RotorofCorRng) means.
I DM (still - same campaign running since 1995) a D&D game, play lots of other RPG. What he's talking about is having SWG written by a bunch of fantasy-genre programmers and game designers without anySci-Fi game experience or appreciation. Or enthusiasm.
It makes me sad to see the Droid Evasion....and the lack of attention to the forum community's concerns and questions.
