ok ok ok... I give, I've seen it mentioned half a dozen times since I became a DE... and believe me, I've been a de for a good while

what the heck is a Droid Tool Kit and where do you get them (I assume they are schematics)

Well, evidently not a good while long enough. They used to be craftable, but never actually worked. They were made like the weapon & armor toolkits. Didn't take much to make one, but they didn't do anything either.

Niow the repair kits are coming back in again with pub 7. They aren't nearly as easy to make, but they will actually heal a droid this time.

hmm a Droid Tool Kit is a thempark drop schematic. It adds something like +3 experimentation, +5 assembly and +5 customization to DE's. Only problem is that it requires a Repair Kit which isn't currently in game. Nothing to do with healing a droid.

Specifically, the 'Droid Engineer's Toolkit' is (at least for Imps) a reward at the Emperor's Retreat (IIRC)

The Droid Repair Kit is a subcomponent for this, as are the clamps.

The Droid Repair Tool used to be in game and was withdrawn soon after launch

Thenew Droid Repair kit should fit the schematic.

My guess is that they do, and that this reward is therefore ok.

yeah. the droid engineer's toolkit is a reward for imperials at the emporer's retreat that was added to the game with publish 6. it didn't exist before that.

it is a schematic, but when you craft it, it is a piece of clothing.
