I was wondering if droid crafting stations can somehow be made better than simply regular?

As with private craft stations the experimentation effeect can often be reached to round +42,

is there something similar with Droid crafting stations by stacking or?

Or am i simply left with droid craft stations that are equal to the public ones in towns?

The Devs recently told us that the quality of the Station itself does nothing at this time. Only the actual craft tool quality matters. So by this you can assume the droid craft station quality also doesnt matter.

quality of the station and tool affect crafting experimentation

quality of the droid module has no effect, positive or negative...

TH said that, i'm still looking for the exact quote, but it was fairly recent.

DOES THE QUALITY OF THE ACTUAL CRAFTING STATION MODULE MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE ON THE CRAFTING PROCESS?

Can you please clarify that just a tad? Thanks very much!

Nope. It neither adds nor subtracts from the process.

Although Droid crafting stations DONT add to the craftingprocess like the architect builtPrivate crafting stations are supposed to, they ARE superior to the town crafting stations, as public crafting stations have a limit on the complexity of the item (got a feeling its 25?) while Droid crafting stations don't.

To be quite honest, I use both Droid and my own Private crafting station (a+43), and don't really notice much difference. I mostly use a private crafting station as it supposed to cut down on fails and improve the chance of amazing sucess(also use +15 Tools and live in a research centre) but I still get quite a few critical failures and experiment failures, so if you are strapped for cash &dont mind a few extra fails, Id go for the droid crafting station.

Is the consensus that TH's quote indicates there is absolutely no difference between the following crafting stations when using the exact same crafting tool?

a +42 Public Crafting Station

a +11 Public Crafting Station

a -4 Public Crafting Station

a -4 Droid Crafting Station Module

a +10 Droid Crafting Station Module

Just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly...

If I am, I'd love to see a link to TH's quote on this.

As far as I know is that the Droid Crafting MODULE is a portable +0 Privet Crafting Station. Public stations cap at +25 I belive and are less then 0 rated (I beleve), only the Archetechcan makemore then 0 privet stations and only thoughs are suposed to have and effect (do they? I havn't seen it)

Private Crafting Stations do have an effect on the experimentation roll while crafting. Made by architects, but experimented with artisan points, you can reach 15.00 w/o subcomponents. To break 15, you need to use the control units/micro sensor suites/droid storage compartments... to get a really high number (44+) the hardest thing usually is a good MSS...(90+) - for that you need high oq/cd steel.

let me just make this simple for everyone....

all droid crafting stations function as a private crafting station with +0.00 functionality rating....

no they are not as good as architect private ones with a higher rating....

I have to disagree with this statement LiftTicket, from personal experience and through many tests by other crafters that I know. To say that a Droid Crafting Station is rated at 0.00 is like saying that you can notice the difference between a 30.00 rated Private Station and a 45.00 rated station. I ran a large number of tests, using many different crafters, trying to compare a 31.xx rated Private Crafting stations against a Droid with a crafting station in it. I asked the crafters to craft at least 10 items using each crafting station, using the exact same resources and subcomponents. The general consensus was that the Droid Crafting station helped to produce a better success rate overall.

After I was able to craft 40+ rated Private stations, I had more crafters run the same test. The general consensus from that round of testing was that the 40+ rated station produced a better overall success rating.

I feel that the Droid Crafting stations are as functional as 30 rated Private crafting stations, but this is what I feel - much like saying that a droid crafting station is rated at 0.00. I don't think that the DEVs are even sure at this point.

I am under the impresion that the DEVs arn't ever shure about anything in the game at any point. Just my Humble Opion.

I disagree with that statement, after having some dealing with the DEVs. The DEVs are aware of a lot more than many people give them credit for. It may seem to many that the DEVs don't listen to the players, or that the DEVs don't understand certain aspects of the game, but after spending some time behind the scenes and participating in discussions made with DEVs and QA I can see that the DEVs do listen to feedback, but its not always the feedback that everyone hopes they will hear.

What I was refering to the fact that the Droid Crafting Stations weren't a part of the overall Crafting station change that happened sometime in the first 4 months after release. There wasn't a functionality rating system in place at that time and the Droid Crafting Stations were left out of the overall change. Yes, I belive that the DEVs should have included Droid Stations in the change, but can understand how much more production time it takes to do such a change. Hopefully, at some point down the line, this issue and many others, with be addressed, but I don't see this happening until after Publish 14, at the very least. JTL is taking a lot of development time resources, and for good cause. Shortly after JTL is released, and its major issues are addressed, we should seeeven moreimprovement in the game beyond the recent improvements that the last 5 publishes have brought.

Sorry if I sound like I'm being a DEVs bestboy, but having spent some time in the psudo-realm of being a part of 'them', as a blue glowie, I have learned a bit of understanding for the DEVs. This doesn't mean that I agree with all that they have done, but I can understand most of what has been done. Just needed to clear this up....
