Hi peeps,

I was wondering if there is a command for calling your droid from your datapad.

I have a harvest droid and it would be easy if I could just put a command/macro on it to call it, rather then go the datapad and select it from there....

Thx

Would be a nice thing for them to add - maybe as the default command so it could be hotkeyed too.

I'd love to be able to call and store my droids with a hotkey.

Hey TK - how about adding this to the wishlist?

I wish...

In this age of vehicles (and especially with the 15-second wilderness call and the 30-second post-combat call) I don't think it wouldn't be exploitative on it's own if we were allowed to open datapad objects from hotkeys. At this point, it's just the annoyance of opening your at-times clumsy datapad. And I hate opening my datapad in lagalicious areas - it lags me a good few seconds most times while the data loads.

The catch comes with macros - anything that can be activated by a toolbar can be put in a macro.

Off the top of my head? A doctor could macro the store/call of pets (since we can already store them with spatial commands) to macro afk med xp with buffs - bring out pet, apply six buffs, store pet, bring out next pet (or even the same one, since currently buffs disapear when pets are stored).

Would it make afk even worse? Doubtful, it's already pretty bad - but this would just invite it, and except for "I don't wanna bother to hit two keys to open my datapad and have to click on the pet", there really isn't a gameplay reason for it to be hotkeyed. They don't want to encourage us to think about pets/vehicles/droids as any more "instant out of my pocket" than they already are.

Would be really cool if you could hotkey your Starship though.
