I cant remember what I looted it from as it was some time ago, anyhoo...

I found a skill tape of +1 droid complexity

Does anybody know what effect this tape has and if its good or bad ?

Thanks

We are not to sure what exactly it does. But we suspect it doesn't really do anything

I believe I read that these skill tapes are dated and useless.

Typical I guess

Well thanks anyway, Its got a +2 melee defense aswell on the same tape. I can stick that on my lightweight pack to grant me +5 melee defense (+3 already on it), atleast its not totally worthless!

If you can figure out a way to put a skill tape onto a backpack please let me know.

Drag and drop will put the tape inside your pack.

Drag and drop into a full pack will tell you container is full.

Good luck and please share if you get it to work

STOP do not do this you will loose one of your tapes. Skill tapes with the same skills will not stack. IE if you have 2 complexity one with Droid Complexity +2 and one with Complexity +5 you place them both on the same shirt. Your shirt will still be missing 2 sockets but it will only have the +5. Even if you put the +2 in first or you put the +5 in first. The maximum is the one that stays.

Do not try to stack the same Skill Attachment!!!!!

certainly many of these skill tapes are not useless. the droid experimentation tapes do increase the number of experimentation points I have. as to droid complexity I am not sure.

I believe that the droid complexity skill tape increases the complexity threshold that determines which schematics are visible in your crafting tool when you are away from a crafting station. but even if that is true,if it works like droid experimentation tapes do, you would need +10 total droid complexity before you see any effect.

yes MachineZed, but she is talking about adding a tape to an item with built in (not taped) modifiers, not overwriting two tapes. Ignoring the fact that its not possible to add a tape to a backpack, I don't think anyone has really tried this yet and knows that it guaranted WON'T work.

Simple way to find out is if any DEs here have tried to add a +droid experimentation or assembly tape to a DE toolkit. Anyone don this yet?

Supposedly the complexity tapes lower the complexity of your items after creation, which decreases factory time required to produce them and (for weaponsmiths and armorsmiths) reduces the likelihood of a repair failure.

Droid Complexity tapes unforuntately are bugged and dont work. Ive got one in a pair of gloves, on the character skills screen it does show Droid Complexity +1 but gives an 'Errorenous Value' message when you hover the cursor over it.

I think theyare supposed tobe negative values not positve, so a +1 Tapewould give you Complexity -1, but it doesnt work. With a +3 Droid ComplexityI thinkit increases Complexity by 3not reduces it and thats why Im getting the Error message.

Also I can confirm that skill tape of the same type do not stack on the same item of clothing. Lost a Droid Assembly +3 because I didnt realise that. Doh!

The reason complexity doesn't work is because it was removed from the game during beta (just like 1/2 the other mods that appear on loot).

Complexity across all professions does absolutely nothing.
