Isn't it odd that DEs can't make vendor droids but Merchants can make droid vendors?

I wish that before SWG changes the definition of "Vendor Placement" to "Vendor Maintenance", and many, many vendors disappear from the game, that they give DEs the ability to make vendor droids. They could require a Merchant certification purchased from aMerchant (since they believe their profession should have a monopoly on commerce in SWG and are not satisfied with the skill-box-required skills they already have).

Could DEs support this and let the majority of non-Merchants continue to participate in the economy like we do now?

you're not SUPPOSED to be able to keep a vendor, droid or otherwise, without having Merchant. that's the point of the merchant profession, and the devs have stated this...

So, sorry, but I don't think the devs will create a workaround to devalue the change they're working so hard to put in.
