That would be awesome!

Unfortunately, I think the devs are trying to use the fact that you have to travel to a vendor to pick up the purchase as a credit sink.

If you are spending credits that means you have credits, and if you have credits it means (to the devs) that you are an opportunity to take credits out of the system. So, to make a purchase, you have to use shuttles and vehicles which takes money out of the system.

I don't think they'll ever make such a droid, ut I agree it WOULD be awesome.

I don't think the credit sink idea holds up, since you could just require the owner to pay x credits for traveling costs (should probably make it more than it would cost you to get to that place since this is more convenient). More likely it won't happen because of coding complexities. Tracking players down with seekers isn't too much of a technical challenge, but tracking them down them moving specific items to their location and making sure they notice it... that gets a bit trickier.

I would absolutly love to see a "delivery droid". A droid I could purchase which I could load completed orders into and put in the person's name and it would go to them and they could purchase it as if it was a vendor from the droid. I don't care if there'd have to be a fee for travel to other planets etc. But a droid like this could really expand my artisan/architect business as well as save me and my customers a lot of delivery time.

Something close to this, that should be workable, is just a simple vendor module. Maybe make it so it can hold 5 items or so for sale. It would really help add atmosphere to Cantinas once the hologrinders are gone and they get back to normal. A Chef could sit behind the bar in a cantina and take orders. He could then load up the droid and send it to the customers seat where they would get it off the droid. Only thing that would make this even better would be if you could mount little trays on your unit like R2 had on Jabba's sail barge. That would be really sweet.

A droid that lets you access your bank box. You can leave common components and resources there so if necessary you could pull out a droid with a crafting station and that module, pull out the resource you need, and craft away.

Would also be very useful for people selling looted stuff or buying stuff so they could access a more organized storage area. Limit it to only be used in cities, or maybe only to be usable on the same planet as your bank.

why not just make a droid with a bunch of storage modules and use it that way?

i keep large stacks on common materials in a compartment on my crafting droid...works great
