Faction schematics that is.

I went to a recruiter and have seen droid schematics for sale. Now they are the same model as the ones i can make. But cost 3-5k faction per.

Are these any different from ones i get?

Do i get more HAM, better combat, etc...?

Or are these there for non-DE's to purchase and make on their own?

Are they color coded ( imp/reb ), have special faction features?

I honestly dont see a reason for buying one of these 5000 faction points @ 110 credits =550k, or even earning the FP that just seems like a lot for a droid.

thanks

I'm not sure if they where changed with the Publish 7 or 8. If they weren't changed, which is more than likely the case, the faction droids aren't worth the time or effort involved. They are actually less useful then the Newbie Helper droid that you get when you pick up a base profession. At least the Helper shows you semi-useful items in the Holocron.

I believe these were put in place so that either non-DE's could make a droid in a factory (assuming they got the subparts) or for DEs to make droids sooner by getting faction schamatics then they would by making droids (this was before the grind-to-mde-in-24-hours hologrind nonsense).

I can't think of any reason to get them now though. It would be nice if they were say different styles or something worthwhile, but there's no difference I can see.
