Thread: Why is my DZ70 better than my probot?

I finally got myself my first set of Micro Sensor Suites, so I can finally make probots. Well, of course the first thing I did was make myself my own probot. After going through all of my resources, my stats were something like 1660 HAM and 100 - 106 damage. I took a look at my DZ70. Over 2000 HAM, and 106 - 112 HAM. So I decide to make another one... making sure to get good experimentations on everything I craft this time around... my second probit, about 1770 HAM, and 106 - 112 damage.

?!?!??!

My DZ70 Advanced droid can hold only 2 combat modules... my probot can hold 3... why am I getting the same damage stats from more combat modules? How is my HAM so much lower?

I have a very limited supply of Micro Sensor Suites, so I don't feel like crafting a whole ton of crappy probots. They won't sell, and for my own use, my DZ70 is better in every way. I'm confused, is there something I'm doing wrong?

All resources used were high yellow to green bars, made sure I got good experimentations on each combat module and the final product.

well, wait until you master and you will see the difference. as far as the ham, its based on the resources used.

It sounds like the combat modules used in the DZ70 were of higher quality then the modules used in the Probots. Both use the same combat rating formula.

Combat Rating / 600 * 80 + 80 = Minimum Damage

Combat Rating / 600 * 85 + 85 = Maximum Damage

As for the HAM ratings on the DZ70 and the Probots, they are the same as well with 3200 being the max on both.

Don't let the bars fool you when you go to craft an item. The Bar in the crafting screen represents the overall weight of all required qualities of a resource. With a DZ70, this would be OQ, SR and UT. OQ is the only stat that you should be looking at for the best HAM results. The Bar doesn't see this though and will report an average of all 3 resource stats. Since Probots require a greater number of resoruce types to use, there is a greater chance of the averaged stats being lower in the stat that you need.

In order to see the correct stat weight on HAM values, you will need to go to Options/ Interface. From there, you can click on the OQ tab. This will list the OQ value for each resource. Use this number to gauge which resource is best used for better Droid HAM.

Be sure to check out Section 9 of the DE 101 Thread. It lists every single module, subcomponent, and chassis and what resource qualities you need to be aware of when building a droid.

It also sounds like he's crafting a basic probot, not one with an advanced chassis. If I recall correctly, the max HAM of a basic is lower than an advanced model, and the advanced model's HAM is equal to a DZ-70.

Both Advanced and Basic Models of the DZ70 and Probot have the same maximum HAM of 3200.
