Thread: What to put in a R2 or R3 Astromech besides data?

Bomb. I would buy quick- Pilot/Smug/SW. Data module refers to pilot droid commands yes?
Yes a big bomb for that special moment and some armor for the R2.
Combat would be fun too. May I ask what they repair, the auto-repair droids? I have one with gr8 ham, a combat mod, and a repair mod, but have no idea what it repairs. That would be awesome if it repaired MPS's. But its a gr8 tank when harvesting on lok.

OK, the R2 & R3 basic model droids take 3 modules. For astromechs you only need a droid data module (I made factory runs of lvls 1,2,3,4,5 & 6). I make R4 & R5 droids with just a 1-6 data module, but I also make a few R2 & R3 droids with data module, and item storage in the lvl 5 & lvl 6 astromechs.
Before I scrounged up some lidium extrusive ore, I had to stack lvl 4 modules, so there wasn't any question what to put in. Now though, I've got a couple crates of lvl 6 item storage modules, and I'm wondering what would be useful/fun/interesting to put in the final slot. Combat module? Auto-Repair? Just leave it empty? Seems like a waste.

Ok, I sell 3 "big" level 6 astromech models. Don't waste your time making complex lower level ones, because people will be replacing them.
For levels 1-5, I offer a data module only, or for 10k more, a storage module. 90% of the time, people buy the storage version.
Now for level 6 Astromechs, this is what I offer.
Astro Crafter (R3)- all 5 craft modules, plus datapad.
Astro Utility (R3)- 4 craft modules, Med Module, and datapad.
Astro Maximus (R2) - Max Med mod, Food craft Mod, 10 item Storage, Maint Module, and Datapad.
Ensure you put the Maint Module in last, or it may not show up.
Those 3 versions sell fairly well.

You do know that you can only use a bomb module once, right? Then it blows up the whole droid. Besides you have to be a smuggler or bounty hunter to use a bomb droid. These are for rebel pilots that need astromechs.

Item storage and a structure matinance module. This is the only mainstay Astromech I've made or will continue to make. Way I see it is that it's usefull in this manner to anyone who picks it up.
All other load outs I do by special order.

Max item storage in all astromech droids. It is the one item that always sells.

Data module (for astromech capability)
L6 Item Storage (fornon-decaying inventory space)
L6 Med Module (to help heal those wounds when they get blown outta the sky)
