Cross posting this just in case the person who would know the answer is here instead of there...

Can someone explain to me some things about droids and piloting? These questions are probably answered somewhere in a booklet or FAQ or something, but I figure it's much less time consuming to just ask ane wait for a response. Here are my questions:

  • I think I understand droid interfaces... they relay information from the droid to the ship and back again? and without one the droid won't function, correct?
  • Why can my ships not use an astromech? Can only certain ships use astromechs? It would appear as if my ship has a hole in the top where the astromech would sit, but I am told I must use a flight computer instead.
  • What is the difference between a v1 flight computer and a v3 flight computer? does the latter store more information?

Thanks to whoever solves this mystery for me.

1) Yes.
2) Only the Z95, Y-Wing (Standard and Longprobe) and X-Wing take a Astromech. Everything else takes Flight Computers. Astromech also must have a Data Storage module installed.
3) Storage size and certification level. Yes, the V3 Holds more.

Thanks very much... Too bad more ships don't take astromechs...
