i am looking to make an good tanking droid for my guildie with maximum ham and utilities. i gathered from the forum that the combat R3 is probably the way to go since its got the largest number of slots for modules. my question is what configuration should i make the droid?are there anything i can do to maximize HAM or are they predetermined based on the droid chassis?

so far i have R3 with:

1 level 6 medical module

1 level 6 armor module

4 100 cr combat module

since he doesnt care about damage, and if the combat module just increases combat effectiveness (damage/toHit), can i substitute them with anything else better in terms of tanking? like 3 or 4 auto repair modules?

thanks in advance.

In my experience you are correct. Just make sure that you are using quality resources and have some buffed clothes on. Your set up should reduce combat attack damage, but keep HAM high enough to tank fine. I might suggest 2 lvl4 armour modules, as they seem to be the same stacked as a lvl6 which does not stack. It will save you a few coins too.

I would recommend;

Modules;

1 lvl 6 Med

4 100+ Combat

1 Auto-Repair

Armor;

1 lvl 3

1 lvl 4 = lvl 6

And for the frame I recommend using a very high quality oil to maximize the HAM to about 4500ish.
