Thread: Chassis specific module bonuses
Chassis specific module bonuses I don't think I'd be too far off base by saying that one of the main problems many have with how droids are implemented in the game is that there is little difference from chassis to chassis in functionality other than the number of modules it can carry.
Now with all the new modules that required stacking to be useful, it is immediately apparent that best droids will always be the Adv R3's, with there being little point in making the others. Soon enough, all you'll see are R3's rolling around the place.
But with this publish we have a perfect example of a specific chassis receiving a bonus to a module to make it more useful. Each detonation module placed in a MSE will get a +10 bonus, making that chassis a more useful and cost effective rival to the R3.
The Probot would be another example with combat modules, hitting harder and faster with less modules.
So the question is really now, since we have working examples of chassis specific module bonuses in game, will other chassis get this type of bonus to make them more useful and rival the R3?
Will the Surgical droids get bonuses on it's three installed stim dispensers to make it as good as the R3 with six?
Will the LE Repair droids get more out of auto-repair mods?
Could the Treadwell maintain structures faster?
Will the Binary Load Lifter finally ever be able to lift loads and get bonuses to storage?
Power droids being sent off to add power to harvesters? GONK!
Anyway, we've gone a step in this direction now and I'm just wondering if we'll go the rest of the way.
