I was just wondering
I would LOVE to see DE's able to craft droideka's and super battle and reqular battle droids
I would not care if they where only as good or only slightly better than the R3's
But im somewhat of an RPer and I would rather have a combat droid that looks like a combat droid than an R3 droid
heck I would not care if they did not have any stats, I would just like to have one hehe

I believe the reasoning behind not including watered down battle droids/droidekas was that they wanted to add them in later as full fledged combat droids along with some kind of droid commander profession to use them.

The first post that I could find asking about battle droids was on 7/7/2003. I did a search for "battle droid" in the subject....change the results per page to 100. I got 4 pages...that is 300+ posts (not threads) on battle droids in the droid engineer forum. Six pages with droideka in the subject. Sixteen pages (100 results per page) when you search for droideka in any forum.
The people have wanted these types of droids for a very, very long time. I'm starting to think we will never see them as player controled.

Hey jenden, could we get a sticky on these boards to tell people to stop telling us we need battle droids, because we know.
Maybe we just need a sticky for the devs telling them "the people want more droids...including battle droids".

2) SBD, do you know how many people have asked about having those in game? I have gotten a ton of requests for them to be craftable. I think it would be awesome for the upcoming CU if the non-combat crafters (seeing as they can't wear armor) could have some personal protection like battle droids, dekas, super battle droids, and maybe a couple others. I also think these droids should decay like armor and have about the same resource usage. I believe this particular change will put DE on the map as a more useful profession and as important as AS or WS. (should be super uber and can only be used by non-combat players)

Every possible detail about combat droids has been talked through and rejected / found unfeasible on these boards in the past year and 1/2 there is simply nothing left to suggest when it comes to this subject. Of course contributions to the discorse are welcome, veterens to these boards will be all to familiar with matter at hand, and the dead end which is our lives.
