Hey everyone, i need help naming my droid, without having to buy one custom made. if anyone could tyell me how this is done that would be great. thanks

The only difference is that you will add the name of the droid at the beginning of each command along with a space in between the name and the command that you wish to program. Part 4 - Something’s not working...

There are a number of known issues with commands and naming. I'll try to hit upon some of the frequently run into issues

Q. Why can't I name my Surgical Droid, Protocol Droid, or LE Repair Droid?
A. This is a known issue. None of these three droids can be named at this time, due to how they are programmed (Converse style.)

Q. Why isn't my droid learning its name?
A. This could be for a couple of reasons. It could be that you are trying to use characters that will not make it through the name filter such as numbers or part of the name is being filtered such as bad language and reserved words such as Jedi, Luke, Chewbacca. Also make sure that you are spelling the name exactly the same all 4 times. Be sure to make sure that the droid is also powered. A droid with *Low Power* will not respond to commands.

If you're talking about a droid pet (i.e. one that is stored in your datapad), then you name it just like you would any other pet. Detailed instructions on programming droids can be found in the FAQ(which Atan quoted from above - Curse my metal body, I wasn't fast enough!).

If, on the other hand, you have a droid you want to display in your house, then the only way to have it named is to have it custom-named when it's built. Also, you should know that no matter what the DE names the deed, the droid will always have the default name for that model.
