I've seen this happen before as well. I was once grouped with a guy that ran (couldn't generate his vehicle due to combat) from the Death Watch Bunker to the Outpost, with the SBD chasing him the whole way. I'm really not sure how he ever got it to quit chasing him.

Actually all Dungeon Creatures never ever give up chasing you unless something else attacks them or you get far enough out of range to break thier lock on you. On the otherhand if you reaggro them outside of a dungeon they give up the chase much easier. So what this means is that Creatures/NPC's have two different AI systems running. Dungeon AI seems more aggresive in order to prevent exploiting.
