Thread: Are Protocol Chassis Finally Able To Be Customized?

Hi all...
This is my first post in the DE forum since I gavethis professionup, soI hope you all don't mind the "noobish"-sounding question here.
I've kept up with the "state-of-the-droid" addresses that TK gives every chance he gets...and I've seen a few random posts by TC DEs that allude to being able to finally customize the color of protocol chassis in the game. Is this true or is this just a rumor? Just curious...

Nope...it's true.
However, I've found that I can't use paint kits on the Protocol after the color fades.
So, the first build will have the color, those after the 20 calls expire won't work (yet). It's been /bugged.

I didn't made an actual protocol droid yet, but yesterday night, between 2 reboot, I made an Adv Protocol chassis, and I didn't have any customization option.
So is it only the final droid that is customizable? or the chassis too and I missed something?
Also what is a good price for the Chassis alone? I was thinking 10K but a customer told me he usualy pay 5K for one.

Yea...I saw this last night. The customize option was available on the final droid need on TC but it seems the chassis is still coming out as gold.
I'll /bug this and check on when we can see this get changed properly.

Same problem on Bloodfin last night. Made an Adv Protocol chassis but no option to color it. I wanted to make some display models with different colors. Ended up using it to make a Merchant Barker droid with green and red colors that looked pretty good. Coloring the final droid deed worked fine. Sold it right afterwards too.

Found a solution :
Replaced the chassis by a non adv protocol droid without anymodule.
Just drop the deed, it'll look like a chassis.

Man this is pretty bad. Wonder who thought it was a good idea to make vehicle kits useable by anyone but Droid kits only by DEs. One less item I can sell now. And the fact that it doesn't work on certain chassis is a pretty large bug. What were they doing in beta?
Any other chassis this DOESN'T work on?
Made my first 3PO and the guy wanted it gold so I didn't change it. He says it's red, and so do other people. Guess it's just me. And now I can't change it.

the droid kits are usable by everyone. they changed that sometime in the spring of this year.

There were larger issues in Beta, believe me. It's all about prioritization.

Not that I've tested or heard of...no.
