Thread: Droidsmith's Toolset
- The schematic for the droid toolkit is obtained through a quest.
- The schematic is obtained as an inventory item and appears are a scroll with a red ribbon/rope around it.
- Only a Tailor can "learn" the schematic, and therefor only a tailor can make the droid toolkit.
- The schematic has 3 charges, meaning only three toolkits can be made from it before it disappears from the person's schematics list.
- The main component (at the moment) for the toolkit is the discountinued Droid Repair Tool, an aritsan-made item that was completely useless so the devs took it out.
- The toolset is a bandolier or sash of some kind that gives bonuses to droid assembly, customizationand experimentation.

What I would like to get the answers to, are the following...
- How much are the toolkits going for on people's servers?
- How much are the repair tools (components) going for on people's servers?
- How much are the 3-charge schematics going for on people's servers?
- Is the quest Imperial-only, or is it just for an Imperial NPC and anyone can do it?
- Where can we find the quest?
- Do the bonuses increase depending on the level of the tailor, or is it fixed at +5/+5/+3 assembly/custom/exper?

I have no clue what they are going for, but the 3 uses can be used to make factory schematics, assuming you have identical repair tools laying around, so theoretically, 2997 toolkits can be made from the limited schematic.
I received this as a reward in the Imperial theme park, not sure if that's the only place it's available.

Edit: And yes, the bonuses are fixed. Tailors currently cannot experiment on their items.

I believe they also take the heavy duty clasps, which are a loot drop, if you could manage to find a drop of 1000 of them with the same serial number....

True. It's why I said "theoretically" ![]()
I've heard, unconfirmed, that you can get a limited use schematic for the clasps, but like I said, it's unconfirmed. But my main point was that you're not limited to simply 3 toolkits out of the schematic.

Here's the info on the schematic from swgtailor.com:
Schematic name: Droidsmith Tool Set >
Screenshots: Ingredients; Stats
Location found: Imperial Theme Park, Col. Veers
Number of Uses: 3
Ingredients: 1 cargo pocket, 20 fibreplast, 15 metal, 10 metal, 1 reinforced fibre panel, 15 non-ferrous metal, 1 droid repair tool, 2 identical heavy duty clasp from a factory crate
Appearance: Mercenary Bandolier
Stats: Droid assembly 5, Droid customization 5, Droid Experimentation 3.
Restrictions: Like all bandoliers, presumably cannot be worn with a backpack
Palette: Presumably leather/white like the mercenary bandolier
Additional Info: Is not currently craftable because there is no such thing as a droid repair tool! However, if you find a droid repair tool from before it was taken out of the game (6 months ago) that will work!
Here's the link to the page:

With 2 identical clamps that brings the theoretical max down to 1497 from a 3-use schematic. ![]()
I don't think the stats change between 2 build.
Assembly is better than experiment anyway.

I have one of these, and just wish it was a belt as opposed to a sash - then I could wear my backpack full of resources and components as well
Agreed.
