I just masterd droid engineer after about a month of grinding on and off. now since i can make everything i have some questions.
1. i have heard that adding more than 1 of the same component into the droid is useless. is this for all components?
2. can you use a harvestor modual if you are not a scout?
3. Whats the maximun storage per droid?
4. how do matinence moduals work?
thanks for all the help.

No, some modules stack. Combat, Harvesting, Detonation are a couple that do. You can stack ones like item storage, but one level 6 item storage modules will give you the max 10 items.

No, you need at least novice scout.
3. Whats the maximun storage per droid?
10 items.
4. how do matinence moduals work?
thanks for all the help.

1. only some components dont stack. item storage stacks up to 10 items. data stacks to 150 schematics i believe(not sure). medical modules stack to 110 med rating. 2. no harvest modules r only for scouts. 3. 10 4.u add structures to the list the droid will then ask u what u how many creds u want to pay.(again not sure on this one)
hope that helps

1. Most modules can be "stacked" to improve performance. Combat modules, for example, are completelt stackable and give a better result. Crafting modules should not be stacked, as it would not improve the performance of the crafter.
2. I believe a Ranger can also use a Harvest Droid, but no other professions can.
3. Max storage is 10 items, and for data it is 150 bytes, usable only for schematics. The storage is limited to 10 items, even though the storage slot may show a higher number. (These modules can be "stacked" to reach an aggregate of 10)
4. If you're asking about the structure maintenance modules, the droid will deliver credits for maintenance of any building programmed into it. It will not, however, deliver maintenance to harvestors, nor will it deliver power to them. They are really only usefull for someone who takes care of several buildings.
Hope this helps!

Hey fellow DEs, first post for me, figured I'd tack on to this guy instead of making another thread. I've been running about five browser windows the last few days trying to absorb all the information I can about this profession (plenty of pit-falls). Like the rest of you, I'm completely taken by the idea and "vision" of being a DE (even though it still has a bit of work to be done on it). So, with the "search" feature constantly telling me there are too many searches being processed, and the fact that I am finding conflicting information at times (and info that is a year old), I figured I'd ask here for a few answers that still elude me...
First off, filler modules... Droid brains, motivators, sensors (and the advanced like)... It's my understanding these can be made with pretty bad quality and you can not tell in the final product. Is this still true? Is there, or was there, ever a plan to make these make the droid respond faster or move faster? Should I feel okay with using scrap resources for these, and expect that they won't ever have a negative effect on the droid? Same goes with modules except the combat mod, harvesterand auto-repair mods? What about clusters, should they be high quality, or just the mods that go in them?
Next up is armor... I keep reading old posts that say a lvl 6 or two lvl 4s is equal to medium-40%. And now I see posts that say there is just 20% with no armor protection. If 20% is the new maxium, is there a guide for what lvl1 - lvl 6 will provide?
And lastly (for this post :smileywink
, do repair kits and reconstruction kits work? I see old posts that say they do not, and only a repair module will repair wounds and only auto-repair will heal damage to the pool. I planned to test this, just really haven't gotten around to putting together the kit. And while I'm on the topic of repair module, it says in the description it "allows a droid to heal other droids wounds as well as it's own." Should I send in a bug note on this (since it isn't the case)?
Thanks for the help.
